I know there are those who will say "I told you so" but now that I have driven the 77 Series for approximately 1 week, I now know this Cruiser needs a turbo in the worse way. It doesn't like the continuous rolling hills of S.W. Georgia. :)

It didn't take long to make that determination. It sounds like the turbo upgrade just sped into the passing lane. Boost!
That or move to a State that is very flat. :)

The automatic transmissions suck a lot of power out of the 1HZ's. Add some hills and it will fill almost like you are going backwards. Gets real bad when a VW bus passes you.

For those guys (@cruiserdan ) that make comments about me washing my Cruiser 4 times a week or off-roading in the WalMart parking lot (again @cruiserdan ) here are photos of REAL mud. :)

1978HJ45, you are a thieving bloody liar. That is evidently fake mud applied by a professional automotive make-up artist. Shame on you!

BUSTED.............

Notice the well-executed spray pattern applied to the tyre sidewall. That is Academy Award caliber stuff........:)

Krylon hammered mud #12

Dodged a bullet today
We're finally getting warm enough to use the A/C for the first time so when I turn it on I hear a loud squealing sound.
My first thought was a bad compressor ( oh crap) but fortunately the problem was a new belt that simply needed to be tightened. While performing this minor task, it was discovered that the bolt that secures the belt tensioner for the alternator had completely fallen out. I'm still not sure how the belt was even functioning much less staying on.
All is well now. :)

Hey, where'd he get my phone?
