For sale: 1989 FJ62, Proffitts V8 conversion in 2013. Asking $18,500
2005 V8 with 74,000 miles according to Proffits at the time, I have not used this truck anywhere near as much as I should have and it is time to move on. Below are some of the upgrades that were done to the truck that was purchased in 2010 for $4,300. Conversion, gearing, , brakes, etc... approx $17,500 invested. Custom interior $2,500. Stereo $600, plus many other misc costs I haven't added.
All in all there is about $25,000+ in cost to date.

I have driven this truck half way across the US and back as well as trips down to south florida a number of times. This was built to be my daily driver, but I ended up needing a bigger rig. (Sprinter Van) We have four truck in the driveway now and I may consider selling my Wifes GX470 down the road also.

Truck is located in Jacksonville, FL. USA.

v8 has magnaflow muffler, 2-1/2" exhuast

The fixable:

There is a vacuum leak some where that I haven't put much effort into finding. I did replace the hose running to the PCV and that seems to have helped.

Seems to be a slow leak in the a/c compressor. I just recently filled it with store bought freon when needed. Only once since 2013.

Driver and passenger seat suffering from standard seat wear AFTER the new vinyl was applied. I was going to put seat covers over it. Back seat is perfect. two tone leather look with cream inserts.

Small amounts of surface rust, I consider this a "sleeper" I left the outside stock as to not draw to much attention.

Please PM questions if interested.

Thanks,

Lane
