Hey everbody looking to sell my pristine 1989 FJ62 that I've had for a year and half now. It is ridiculously clean and I've put a ton time and new Toyota parts into making the old girl like new. It is fully sorted and ready to be enjoyed. I am the third owner. It has been a southern vehicle its' whole life. The original owner was a little ole lady that had it serviced exclusively through Toyota up until she sold it in 2012. Then a retired gentleman in Atlanta owned it until my purchase. From what I'm told it was always garaged its' whole life and I believe the condition reflects that. Not a speck of rust anywhere on the body or frame. It did have a glass out repaint in 2018 by the PO and the pictures show it is a flawless paint job. I think you will be hard pressed to find a cleaner FJ62 anywhere.

Basics:
- 153k miles
- Compression 152-158psi across the board
- 2.5" OME lift
- Brand new 33"x10.50s BFG all terrians
- Otherwise bone stock

I recently pulled the drivetrain to address a leaking rear main and some other seals and gaskets. Here is a brief run down of what I replaced with OEM parts unless no longer available:

- Head rebuilt, headgasket
-Rebuilt factory fuel injectors
- Fuel pulsation dampener
- Fuel pressure regulator
- Starter
- Alternator
- A/C compressor
- Power steering pump
- Water pump, fan clutch, fan
- All cooling hoses, clamps, thermostat
- All gaskets and seals
- Radiator overflow bottle
- Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, air filter, belts, etc.
- Base lined all fluids
- New Aisin hubs
- New hardware throughout
- New Toyota battery
- Cosmetically restored the engine

The previous owner work:
- Rebuilt front axle
- New brake booster and master
- New calipers
- Rebuilt Transfercase
- New O2 sensors
- New interior carpet kit from SOR

There are many more details I am sure I am forgetting but I think this should provide a good overall picture of the vehicle. Of course I am happy to discuss over the phone the 62 indepth. Now as for price I am asking for a big number but it reflects the condition of vehicle and the extent of the work I have performed. Ultimately BaT may be where this old girl ends up but wanted to offer it to the Mud family first. My asking price is $55,000......new price $45,000

Below is a link with tons of pictures, but if there additional pictures you'd like just let me know.

Thanks!
JP

Beautiful FJ62. For the new owner. Remember, if you run this smaller oil filter (90915) your engine oil dipstick is going to show half a quart high when you check your oil. If you choose the larger filter (15600-41010) your dipstick will read accurately. For some very odd reason, Toyota went to that smaller filter, either not caring or not understanding that anyone that owned a 60 series Land Cruiser would be scratching their head as they read the over full mark on the oil dipstick after carefully filling their engine with the correct amount of oil.

Bump. My 80's head-gasket recently blew so I'm a little more motivated to sell this 62 to fund its' repairs and build.

New price $50,000.

Thanks
JP

This is a beautiful 62, I’ve been watching this thread for a month and am shocked someone hasn’t snagged it. Wonder what the wife would say if I bought another grey 62 😂. Unless I’m missing something the new asking price is an absolute steal, if it goes to BaT someone is going to be paying thousands more plus the 5% fee.

Good luck with the sale @ClemsonCruiser.

I will happily buy this truck , and give it a good home but someone has to buy my 80 first. My wife will kill me.

Thanks Tarheel I really appreciate the kind words!

I am happy to say I have received a deposit on the 62. She’ll be staying in and the Mud family and staying close to home here in South Carolina 😎

Thanks for all the interest and I’ll update the thread as Sold once the sale is finalized.

Thanks
JP
