so I just ordered one, they'll get back to me in 12-48 hrs about availability and shipping,
ill let you know what they say
better to have and not need...
toyotadxb, had to place an order to get them to check but their site says they have em....
i also contacted cruiserparts as they sell an h55 with transfer case attached for the hz or 3b so they must have access to these or have a few around, ill let you know
Think Tasche @ridefastflyfar might have a 3b shaft left from swapping an H55 into his 40. the H55 was out of a BJ60. He's gonna look for it and chime in here.
what year is your truck?
they said this will fit 3b and 2h '88 and later....
The best of luck with this, I really hope it works out for you and lasts a long, long time! One more time….
Whilst I’m grabbing parts for the h55f rebuild, including that non-existent input shaft.
I bought another SKF seal as it was the tightest fitting seal on the input shaft. I measured with calipers and confirmed it was slightly smaller ID than the others.
The plan: remove the speedi sleeve and shim the seal.
I still think the speedi sleeve is just enough bigger to wear out the seal with excess pressure.
I hopped on McMaster carr and found some stainless rings 50mm OD 40mm ID. This was the closest I found. I “machined” the outside to 48mm to match the OD of the seal.
The shims are 1mm so I’m going to do some testing to see if 1 or 2mm will work.

This will cover the lip on the bearing retainer where the seal sits just fine.

Someone had mentioned this back When I first went with the speedi sleeve. I’m just trying this while I’m gathering parts Becuase honestly I love driving my cruiser so if I can get a few months or longer out of a seal and allow to me drive the cruiser, I’m all over it.
Apparently old Volvos and other engines had different depths you could install the crank seal at to ride better on sealing surface. I’m not sure if that’s smart or planning for repairs.
Should go good. I had a BJ70 with a 13B-T heart transplant. I also intercooled it/front mountA great day learning all things 13B-T before I hopefully go to pick one up next week for transplant into my 3B powered BJ70.... now to work out some of the wiring that is different between the two, and setting up some auxillary gauges (boost and EGT) for in the cab.
When you get your EGT guage you can buy some that have a relay you can set to throw a switch at a certain temperature which is useful for a warning light, or water injection....Most allow you to set some sort of alarm point, but most don't have a built in relay.A great day learning all things 13B-T before I hopefully go to pick one up next week for transplant into my 3B powered BJ70.... now to work out some of the wiring that is different between the two, and setting up some auxillary gauges (boost and EGT) for in the cab.
