Trying to finish up the last little bits on the tur.bo. So the drain tube interferes with the mounting adapter because of the way I need to clock the turbo on the 13BT. This is common on the 4BT on some swaps i've seen.
I'm thinking I can grind/machine this upper corner off of the adapter and that will give me clearance for the drain pipe. I don't think this will cause any strength issues as the turbo doesn't sit on that and all the clamping force will still be there for the bolt to the manifold.
Any thoughts?

How much does that part cost and how easy is it to get another one?
That makes the decision to cut it up a bit more difficult. That's a hundred dollar bet.

bad day yesterday.Started off with an early morning call from work and the suite above ours froze and broke fire sprinklers and flooded and trashed 1/2 of our office. Had to go in and see the damage but the Land Cruiser wouldn't start.
It had been below zero at night for a couple days but it just isn't turning over very fast. My jump charger wouldn't help it either.Tundra to the rescue. Got back from the disaster at work and decided to try and start the cruiser. Had to back it out but my shop has a small ledge and hill to get into it. You have back out and be able to get in so it won't roll into a tree behind. So as I was pushing it I slipped on the ice and didn't get the door closed enough or time to stop.
Yeah, not real happy about that moment of stupidity. The bottom hinge is a little sprung, but overall no major damage. I should be able to push that little crease out to straight again....hopefully.
Arrg. "The devil always craps on the big pile again", we say in Germany .
Sorry to hear your misery. Well, put some fun on the other side of the scale. Maybe a fun ride in the Cruiser?

Chin up there Ben, I have had things happen that I want to beat myself up for (more times than I would like to count!)... I have just learned to take it in stride. Hopefully thems PDR's can make like it never happened!
