In today’s episode of “Tales From The Drivethrough!”

The workers are taking orders walking in the drive through.

Worker: oh cool. Don’t see many of these around.
Me: (anticipating enthusiast conversation) No, no you don’t.
Worker: so you like bought this from like the post office?

No, no it’s from Australia....:slap:

Drive around to get my order and new worker is handing food out. She looks and goes wow and is seemingly excited at the cruiser

Worker: COOL! So you like deliver mail?

OMG, that is hilarious!!!

Looks like you are up to some serious upgrades in here!

So long soft top, time for the winter coat. Just an 1" or less today. I love the soft top, but 20 degree weather and snow, ice and big winds last night really make me like the hard top for Colorado. It's much quieter and warmer than the soft top. Hard top will be on until april or may I suppose.

Antifreeze

I would randomly see this spatter on the upper radiator hose. None anywhere else. No leaks on ground, or where I could see. I thought it was the overflow hose so I replaced that. It would
Only happen every so often. Then my overflow started getting lower and lower.
I started to get a little worried that maybe she was drinking coolant. Never any temp fluctuations even in hottest weather. So I'd wash the vehicle every 2 weeks or so and sometimes it would have the spatter and some not.

The other night I pushed her up to 75mph, she did it pretty easy but I smelled a little coolant and though time to get more serious here.

I hope it's all solved. That OEM clamp directly in the middle of the photo was finger tight and coolant hanging out underneath it. I'm hoping thats all it was. I'm going to tighten and check all clamps again. Always something.

So I put the 1FZ lid on just to see how much, if any difference is made with it and compare to the Holset.

Yes, it's booty. Yes it's temporary. :flipoff2:

It fits over the existing intake hose and I had to tape it to seal it off.

Conclusion is, it does make a difference. I'm noticing 1~2 PSI difference in the top end, and quicker spooling around town and in gears. In town I'm getting higher PSI in the range than normal, much easier than before. Turbo sound is a little louder. Overall it's a good upgrade if you can find one cheap. It helped to breathe a little better in my setup (snorkel, fuel up a little, boost controller)

Such great pictures. You must either have a special glossy-filter on your camera, or spent hours of detailing before taking a pic like this.
I can spend whatever time I want on mine. It will never get it that shiny . Just great 👍

Thanks! Well I definitely don’t spend hours detailing lol. She goes to the car wash once every couple weeks.
I just use my iPhone and then do a little editing after the fact on the picture. A little sharpening, a little highlights change and some saturating can make things pop a little more.

That picture was just good timing with the sun. I took about 20 pictures and this was the only one the sun popped like that. It’s all about the lighting.

I knew there must be some effort in getting those great shots. That's the difference between 'taking a snapshot' and 'photography'.
Thanks for sharing.
All I have to share right now is rust, paint and parts. Having a nice picture of the overall target in between is so motivating. Keep it up, please.

Thanks. Im just kind of a hack with the photos and sometimes get some good ones.

Mine still has a ways to go for sure.

Well at least she did not call it an Isuzu. 😊

The other day I replaced the bulbs in the license plate lights. Well when I got home I noticed the left light dangling and the clear lense gone. Yeah when I screwed it on, I apparently wasnt paying close enough attention and missed the posts to screw into.

Well, you can still get those from your local or favorite online dealer for cheap, as well as the screws.
$3.49 for the lens and $1.27 per screw.

TE37s are super nice. Big fan of them on JDM cars/trucks, but I can't help but think how many OEM steelies I could afford for a set. I'm sure that as far as forged wheels go, they are the ultimate solution, but I'm not too worried about unsprung weight vs strength.
