when I took the front tire off I noticed the outer tie rod boot (most likely incorrect naming!) was torn, so I need to try and find a part number to replace it. Curious if anyone knows if the end should be twisted like that, or if it needs to be re-aligned.

Bigger spare mounted. Rear carrier is just primed, looks better than the white that is previously was, I think.

I would be more concerned about catching the neighborhood kid that sprayed graffiti all over your license plate.

hahaha...I see everyone else do it so I figured would as well!

Checked toyodiy.com and seems the only part 45047-69065 that points to the area, but nothing just for the torn rubber piece. Can you not buy it separate?

Those guys are either paranoid or in the witness protection program. :D

Looking really good! Whats next????

Thanks a lot. Doing the best I can with limited knowledge and very limited funds.

Next up will be cheap mods...going to work on diff. breathers, fix the rubber on the tie rod, box for the rear and snorkel....and touch up paint to paint stone chips and what-not.

Alberto had mentioned about putting grease back in and silicone around to keep dirt out, so will do that for the tie rod boot.

before you replace the boot make sure the damage isn't being caused by a wheel....ie replace boot only to have it wear again.....just a thought.....

It was the old rim and the spare nicks it a just a bit, but I figure the spare won't be used often...hopefully!

I have a new set of 16 rims with 3.5 BS so they don't even come close to it.

Nice! I have original 15 inch rims which work great for me but I can't help envying the selection of tires available for 16 inch rims.....

I also have the original 15" rims and when combined with a lift kit makes the Cruiser look like you are running go-cart tires. :)

Your 74 is one clean amazon rig.... But ya. You need some bigger kicks on there!

Larger rims and tires are on the "to do" list but not at the top.
