The rest of the rims came in today and I finally got the tires mounted. Cooper ST Maxx 235/85/16. I got a wicked good deal on them, local tire kingdom has buy three get one free on cooper tires. They currently filled them up to around 35 psi which I've read is a bit too low for street driving with a 10ply tire. I'll be bumping them up to around 50psi since I read that is the sweet spot...tires are rated for 80psi cold.
Tires are very quiet, I was expecting a bit of hum, but I can barely hear them. No idea how they will be in the dirt/mud, but have read they are good.
I was thinking the white rims would be too much and flashy, but actually like the look of them...I don't think I'll be painting them any time soon. Breaks up the grey/black.

A white roof would go well with those rims.

running 50 psi in the rear and 58 psi in the front, sidewalls aren't sagging as much. Did some re-search online and read 55-60 psi for 10 ply tires, lower psi can wear out the tires faster...I thought 50/58 was safe...if anyone has more trust-worthy than the world wide web, please let me know. City/highway for now.

screw the "reading" the only real way to tell is the chalk method ...
line up in a straight section of road
run chalk lines across the face of the tires
drive straight ahead for a short distance,
get out and check where the chalk wears off
inflate or deflate as required till the chalk wears off evenly

so sadly I didn't realize this until today, but it looks like someone hit me or something, and I never saw if before...There was some white paint I noticed on the my bumper but never paid attention to the wheel well. A little sick inside, but s*** happens....i guess.
Curious if anyone knows the paint code, going to go to Toyota tomorrow, I picked at the paint that was chipped and would like to touch it up.

- the tires look great ! I also just adjusted the psi in my BFG AT E rated as they were only 30.
^^ sorry about the scratch, I know someone will eventually ding mine but I have several off road boo-boos on mine so it might blend in.

thanks yeti. Just depressing had it two weeks and can't recall if I just missed it from before or not. When I bought my pick-up years ago I was that happiest kid around...two weeks later a guy backed right into me, bent the cab and box....seems a common occurrence for when I get something new and shiny!
the bolt/screw got pushed up as well, so dinged it pretty good, but not extremely noticeable, minus the peeled paint...blah!

Thanks rojjim. I was dumb and didn't think to look under the hood for the code, where it is stamped. In the heat of seeing the dent my brain was just trying to figure out when it happened. I think the photos make it more blue, it is actually the grey metallic/155. Thanks again for looking.

Friend came by and filled me up with R12, so finally got some AC. Going to see if my old tires/rims from the pick-up will fit as a spare so I have an almost full-sized one this weekend. Also will attempt to pressure wash the rear tire carrier to remove the white paint (it's flaking off) and fix a couple dents in the rear. I noticed the tire on the tire carrier was closer to one side of the door when it arrive, but didn't realize until yesterday that someone must have backed up into the tire which bent it and pushed the tire into the body causing some minor dents where the wheel pushed. My guess is from it's Japan days. Hopefully I'll be able to get into the rear panel and push them out a bit.
You really need to watch where you park.

haha, ya. Although this time that one was already there, I just didn't notice the dents from the wheel until the other day. It is nothing major, hidden by tire, but hopefully I can push it out a bit.

Swapped the tires that were originally on the 73 to the pick-up, looks a bit wimpy, but needed a new set.
Spent a good 45 minutes trying to get the rear dent out. I took off the rear panel/tire/tire carrier and tried to push it out, it was on the crease and fearing I would do more harm than good I stopped and gave up the effort. A body shop one day will have to pull it out when money permits.
The pressure washer was being a pain and kept cutting out so I wasn't able to clean up the carrier as well as I had hoped and I couldn't get all the way down to original paint. It looks pretty rough, but primed it for the time being and I think it looks better than the white. I need to order some paint to touch up some stone chips and then paint the carrier.
The carrier was bent a bit which is why the spare pushed in. I tried it like in the photo in order to get more clearance from the bumper, but the wiper was hitting the spare so I had to flip it the other way. I put in a few washers to help compensate for the bent carrier and I'd say for a cheap fix and my lack of mechanical ability it worked. Not a full size spare, but close, 31x10.5 that I had laying around. I checked to make sure the rim would clear in the front and it did.
