one wheel came in...was supposed to have all four in by today, but for whatever reason the other three were shipped from else where. Tires are sitting around Tire Kingdom ready to be mounted. Heading out of town Tuesday for a week so won't be able to paint rims black by then...hopefully will have them at least mounted by Monday and sand/paint when I get home.

Drove out to a friend's place today, took a photo by the creek...if you go left on the creek you will hit the Myakka River....if you go right you'll be at the Gulf of Mexico within 20-30 min.

Grass was pretty wet and got to really check out the 4-wheel...was working perfectly.

Very disappointing ..... We were hoping for a photo where you were winching yourself out of the creek. :D

installed a better radio today...everything working fine except now I keep blowing the fuse to the cig. lighter. Must be a bad ground somewhere, but for the life of me can't find it or figure out why there is an issue now. It had an aftermarket radio before as well and had no issue with blowing cig. fuse.

Verry nice condition that bj73 !!!

The value of that crome mirrors and bumper in that condition will suprise you !!!

If i was on that side of the atlantic id drive a big distance for them !! down here they are verry verry rare especialy in that condition !

Dont paint them !! sell them and search for a ARB kinda bumper i would say.

Stereo installed, sounds pretty bloody good without having an extra amp and a sub.....and not that cosmetics matter, but I prefer the all black face-plate compared to the silver Sony. Cheap upgrade. Temporary box and some Bose speakers that were laying around; I shipped two of those plastic boxes home from Kuwait filled with all my gear, glad I didn't throw it out last few years. Once I build the box in the back I will mount the speakers in for a more permanent home.

Removed the cig. lighter and it was no longer blowing the fuse when I turned on the ignition, so I'm guessing there is a short or bad ground somewhere within the actual socket.

That's a good idea Bushmaster...I'll try and go that route before I do anything drastic. ColoCruiserJeff had mentioned trying to trade with someone, didn't realize the chrome bumpers were wanted that badly.

Those "sore lip" bumpers are difficult to like at first but they grow on you after a while. I my opinion an ARB style bumper will always look better.
I didn't realize there was much demand for the bumpers either.

ARB looks like generic tin ...
the factory "have my tea while watching the sunset" front porch is sweet ... as long as you don't wheel, care for aesthetics and can judge distances well.

The ability to "judge distances" is the big challenge. I have forgot the bumper is even there countless times over the last week or so. :)
It needs a radio antennae mounted up there to remind you that it is not only there but extends into the next area code.

also to check if your hair is still in position crome bumpers are better;) but for wheeling and stuff indeed the arb style,s are better also when you got a conflict whith road users that dont understand driving.

But id keep the cromes myself for the sunday,s;) (got a 18V Makita accudrill)

Nice stereo did it plug right in ? I had to splice mine in 14 wires... I was just so glad when it came on...

I would look into Iron man / ARB bumpers, and sell the front porch. but really just how far does it stick out ? If I decide to change bumpers I will have an ARB with no hoop for sale....

On the mirrors you could always try plasti dip , I think it would work really well for your application and would not hurt the chrome.

lots of power tools here :)

Got the cig. lighter working like a champ. Had my neighbour/friend who helped me out early look at it again and realized when we put it back together the inside plastic piece was not in the right position...which is why it sparked like mad the first time (bad ground). The odd part is that it wasn't blowing fuses until the new radio was installed. Anyways, took it apart and put it back together and working perfectly.

Radio was more or less an easy install. I just stripped the wires one at a time and replaced them where the old wires went. The hardest part was where the battery line goes, it needed a special connector that was flat...I was getting no power with another connector I plugged in and realized there was no connection being made in the center...after I bought a new one it worked perfectly.

yeti, I would love to pick up your ARB, but I'm not sure it will work with the PTO...you have a regular electric winch, correct?

some of the JDM vehicles came with a lighted corner pole ... little green light at the top for night time parking ...
sounds geeky but pretty handy., even out wheeling it helped with tree and rock clearance judgments

I have actually seen those lighted corner poles but didn't realize what they were. :)
I am seen locally as a rough, tough, outdoors man so I can't do "geeky."
