Awesome work Roma!

I rebuilt my mini 12HT last year (13BT) :D and in retrospect, I wish I would have plated all the bolts. I did clean and replace/repaint anything that needed it, but after seeing your bolts and finish work, I wish I would have taken that extra step. Killer looking!

your 12HT’s little brother

Nice! I wish I could find a 13bt for my 40. The 3b turbo is decent but man I love direct injection! I thought about putting this 12ht in the 40 but don't really want to change the mounts and crossmember on it since it's galvanized.

Yeah a 12HT in a 40 would be sweet! I do enjoy the 13BT a lot, seems like a 12HT is just more of that. They sound so sweet.

have you found a lot of parts you can’t get for the 12HT?

Yeah unfortunately so, an alarming amount.

IP and timing gear oil feed line went on today after I put some clear powder on the line.

Big hole on the oil filter housing and IP and little one on timing cover.

Well thank you for the pics and inadvertent advice, I am busy rebuilding one of these, as you know, and I would not have paid attention to orifice size of the banjo bolts on the IP and timing cover line. I guess thats what posts are all about. Now, to get my IP lines clean inside and out, with very limited resources, we are on day 6 of a 21 day lock down. No motor spares shops open, only essential services, so it's time to become resourcefull, I guess.

Spill pipe installed

Clamps for the bypass hose came in. I had to take the damn housing back off to install. I won't forget that next time around.

Also dug up the return hose from the fuel filter housing to the pipe. It's ugly...and discontinued.

Blasting wouldn't save it?

I didn't try to blast it. It probably would clean up if I bolted up the ports shut but it would need finished with something to stay looking decent. I actually thought about ordering up some banjos and making the hose but I'm too lazy. If it ever fails I'll make a fancy one. She'll ride as is.

Ummm, where does this boy go?? I don't have one like this, but my engine was from a Coaster bus

Valve cover vent pipe

OK, so obviously the Coaster ( or later model engines) did not have one, mine just has the tapit cover vent.[/QUOTE]
Had me worried for a moment.

That engine looks so sweet. Excellent work, and thanks for all the part and part number reference.

I just read through your whole thread - Bravo.

I think my favorite part was that you fully rebuilt the 12HT, and then proceeded to immediately take it on an epic road trip.

Fantastic work.

Any chance you have an extra 12HT (old or rebuilt) that you're willing to sell?

Thank you. I do not sorry

When I got the 12ht that all these accessories came off of I discovered the intake shutter was damaged. I'm assuming the engine had rolled over perhaps in shipping at some point. This shutter was off the eBay engine that looked super crusty that I rebuilt earlier and is currently in my 60. I'd robbed the shutter off my original 12ht that broke in Canada to get that one going.
