in post 37, the last pic. The starter has a space between it and the bell housing? It should be flush.

....and I was going to ask you on galvanizing your rims, was there any problems with the ring afterwards? I am thinking of doing same thing?

R

Talk to your galvanisers Rob.

I didn't have any problems at all - Except you have to be gentle with tyre levers to avoid "chipping" the galvanising. (Not a problem really because if you use the right technique you don't need a lot of force.)

But I think my galvanisers took special care to avoid leaving any thick "dribbles" of zinc in critical places. (I suspect they gave the components a good shake while they were still very hot.)

But having said that, zinc is very soft and easy to file. And I seem to remember filing a few little lumps of zinc I saw that shouldn't be there.

Cheers
Tom

Had new P/S pressure line made since Toyota no longer has them. My old one was rotted, went to local hose company who makes high pressure lines, $25 made it 2" longer for me and put this rubberized heat shield around it. My old one is behind it, they made it to same exact specs as OEM.

Roberto, are your battery tray galvanized steel without any kind of paint? if so i would cover those with some hercule liner, or something very tough. Did you installed ground wire from frame to engine block?

battery supports are galvanzied and then RB and then POR 15 black chassis paint, Battery trays are stainless steel? I have not installed any wiring yet for I am waiting for the body to get back to me and then I will install all to include. Why cover battery trays?

Thanks
