Looks like the PCV was clogged. I had another and replaced it. Seems to be easier to adjust now.
I am still having this issue of it failing out at high RPM. After about 3500 or so.

They say to keep the wire away from plug wires and other wires with power, and I have done that.

Seen this issue before?

if the HEI is not working it's not going to run or it would misfire.

Surge is fuel usually. The sniper is probably getting mixed signal somewhere telling it to fuel then stop.

Are all of the holes in the manifold plugged?

Is the PCV valve working (shake it)

Holley says I am having a voltage issue. No interference or issues with sniper.

I have a new battery and a new alternator. I also built grounds and power cables.

Measuring across the battery while running it only shows 12.5V.
When I measure pos on battery and the Bolt on the block where ground wire is it measured 13.4V.

Just FYI, I moved the cable behind the bracket next to block..

So is that telling my that ground wire from battery to block is not good?/

😡

I just did new copper 2/0 cables. + right to solenoid then - right to engine block, used old #2 to ground from that spot on block to starter mounting bolt. I sprayed all the cleaned connection with battery terminal spray before torquing down the bolts/nuts.

Happy to report we are running like a top!

Fixed the ground cable from battery to block. Scratched the paint off block and re made the end connection. It was a little loose.
It still ran like crap after I did that.

I had posted my data on the Holley forum and the guy reported that the voltage could be the issue, but also said I could have a bad module in HEI.
I just had replaced it with a flame thrower. I had ordered one the other day just to have a spare. unified OE one.

So I changed out the flipping module and ZERO issues.

Run around the block a few times and it runs great.

I was also happy that the trans shifted really smooth.

Finally!

Thanks for the update!!

Had some things I needed to tighten up on the suspension. Steering was pretty sloppy. Couple of tie-rod bolts were loose.😡 Right knuckle also needed a little tightening too.
Working on the hood, last big piece of the puzzle.

Doors and 1/2 doors are ready to go to paint.
