cool! you had me worried there for a minute. glad i was able to change your mind about getting the powder coating done too early in the build up.....

alright here is some shots the night of the teardown. the deal was for me to take out all the interior parts like seats and stuff, so i started as the sun was setting after work. this was 4 weeks ago:

yea thats as far as i got in 3 hours that night becuase kevin wanted to close shop. The next day i couldn't come in from feeling sick. theres always something to catch when u work at a hospital. then kevin finished where i left off as the next day i couldn't make it to take the little that was left of the interior parts. :)

nope the front part of the cage was homade bent and everything. you can get a similar style to the front as the kits metaltech sells.

they are calling it a classic or original style or whatever. its the most basic.

I replaced mine with downys setup. i'll show you pics of what that looks like. It fits both new and old style doors. its really clean looking

I have that same rollbar if anybody is interested in one. Not sure the origin as it was in my 1971 when purchased. Mine is the rear portion only. Jumpseats will not mount with this bar. Sorry about the hijack Okie!

i dunno but i thought it was stock to all early cruisers. not for mine because they didn't give you a rollbar in 1970 i don't think. thats dissapointing . i thought it was a cruiser thing. :(

Okie,

How 'bout an update?

Still going efi?

I am buying a 62 at auction this weekend. (if I dont get outbid)

I will be selling the complete motor.....

fyi a guy in town has a h55 in his 40...... YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

thanks for the offer. george just dropped me by a present the other day ( hehe) He had asked me if it was ok to store this fj62 with efi at kevins shop because he didn't have any space at his place. I asked kevin if that was ok because the space is actually shared with other shops and he ok'ed it until i could decide if i wanted to pay him for the efi junk. I was interested in the efi on the truck and wanted kevin to look at it to see if it would work out or not, because we weren't sure yet.

Btw george i will send the title and keys that you left in the glovebox to ya here pretty soon when i get the chance. Its a safe neighborhood, it'll be fine there until i can get off work and get them tomorrow morning.

as for an update. i will load all my many pics up. i just have to resize all of them and put them in order .. it just takes a little time i don't have right now. but i will do it soon.

have a good evening everybody. thanks for all the support.

btw the cruiser is almost ready for paint.

im thinking of going with the dark red from honda. the one thats on their new accords. maybe even darker than that.

still looking for newer style doors... so i can get it painted.
