Lovely bride and I drove Mavis to a cool little eating joint in downtown Clarksville last night. I was surprised to see someone had borrowed my dream car and parked it in the restaurant.

Mavis helped move my new project into the garage today. Get to do an engine swap on the 85 pickup soon.

Drove Mavis to the Nashville area STLCA meeting last night. Didn't get any pics because it was raining buckets almost all the time there and back.

Glanced at the fuel gauge this morning and noticed it was resting on "E". Drove a couple miles to nearest gas station and this happened.

Damn. Sometimes I just live dangerously.

I bought a new one from Mr. T and I thought it was described as 16 gal.

I could be wrong....

I think my as far as I know OEM tank in my 72 is 18.5 gal and datsun b210 aux tank was 12.5 gal both full to the cork.

So, the door plugs from Unobtainium are hot garbage. Just say no. They don't even slightly resemble the original ones and just rattle around in there and eventually fall out.

These from Classic Cruisers worked perfectly.

I would avoid Sor's door plugs, Proffits fit good but are unfinished (3d printed with tooling marks). I was also able to use push-in metal door plugs and painted (forget what size).

Now that we've moved out here and settling, I want to try the BBQ place you posted awhile back.

Took Mavis out to Land between the lakes today to test fire and zero my latest rifle build. She's a Tennessee rifle in .40 and hasn't earned her name yet, but shot point of aim at 50 yards without adjusting the sights.

Back to Land Between the Lakes today to finish wearing the tread off my bias plies and to camp with the dogs. Going to go with something different for my next set of tires.

My buddy with the 4runner got one for his kid. They are way better than you think, but need an extra oil cooler.. his got hot enough to melt the dipstick before he got the cooler installed.

I've decided to at least temporarily go to radials until they wear out.

In the spirit of minimalism went with Goodyear Trail Runner ATs in 235/75-15s. I got rid of my daily driver RAV4, so figured I wanted something better in wet and snow this winter.

Will relook once I've worn these out.
