Looking for a new oil sensor is quite a head scratcher. I'm assuming this unit will do.
I'm also assuming the extra tab spot welded to the unit is for oil light, but would hate to get the wrong thing at that price.
That’s just a ground that’s part of the wire harness

You can't have too many grounds. There is more money to be had making things different rather than just making the same old stuff.
Ford just wanted to make one car in any color you wanted as long as it was black. Then the Dodge brothers came along and made a different model every year so people could see if you had a new car or not and keeping up with the Jones's was born.

Got my cable ends from Garrys automotive in Ohio and they do a good job of protecting the connections and look good.

They go on super easy, even over my 2 AWG wires, but once you peel back the boots to tighten the nuts, it's an iron clad b*tch to stretch them back over the end.

Went on another cross country trip for a family funeral to northwest Iowa. Stopped by the Toyota dealership in Sioux City Iowa today and spotted this:

Yes please don't touch. God forbid the toughest utilitarian vehicle ever to have graced the American market gets a fingerprint on the paint.
Sheesh.
Let the damn kids climb on it.
What are they going to hurt?
Maybe someday they'll buy one...

Man that's still closer than most folks get to finding their own car as a toy. A guy at work mentioned he was going to paint one to look like mine with the patina'd paint, but then he got fired and I never heard from him again 😭
Last news was that he was having a hard time finding a suitable FJ60 replica to work with.

I am continuing to do improvements to Mavis. This just happened tonight. Planning on going on more trips and camping with my dogs and think this will be better than a tent.

I could've made it slightly bigger but I'm not a large guy so went 72 x 32 inches on the frame.

I plan on insulation under the top and on the floor, removable on the sides and back and mosquito netting around the bed.

Stopped by the local Home Depot for their finest 15/32 BCX and had them whack it down to 75 x 32.

This will easily fit a Single camp bed. I've been tent camping with one and myself and both dogs fit perfectly. Look forward to doing some cold camping this winter and trips in the spring

One perk of having 3 on the tree!

I spent many a night in the front seat of my 72, the wolves had the back. Our last 1000 mile trip, the back was loaded with tools and stuff to the top of the jump seats. They had enough room lay on the stuff and look out the windows. It was 0300 in Bullhead City and was 118 - Every 1/2 hour I sprayed us down with ice water from a 3 gallon pump up sprayer

Tried out the bed platform at Land Between the Lakes.

The first thing I learned is that "no food is safe" in an FJ40 camper. Lost my lard the first day. Day 2 consisted of lots of poops 💩

Warmth is not an issue. Also, it rained hard and nothing got wet except the driver's side floor, but that door is jacked.

I have that exact same camp table, somewhere.
