I bougth and fj40 engine in
san antonio tx with dany from wimberley four wheel drive
he is a very nice guy!!
Ok i strat to pull apart and resto all the parts i can take off
i like to have some directions whats next
he say the engine was runin at the time they takeit out, ans was been seatet for a year at last
how can i know if still working o i have to put all new rings and valves ....
Please posible steps!!

I just got them from the welding guy!! They look very good , I chose the brass weld , because is moor clean an they going to look sharp!!

before I have the "goodyear suburbana 75 R15, (pic one and two) and I was thinking it was the ultimate on retro tyres , but the car feels like in a 100 yards going to be brake apart, they are to hard,
that kinde of tires are not made enymoore here in mexico so I found the " mud terrain 2 from bf goodrich" (pic 3), I think they are 135 R15, and the feel of the car change a lots, super soft and good tracktion , on and off road!!

What happened to the winch between the 2nd and 3rd pictures? Removed to make it as close to "factory" as possible?
 
Well yes !!
at that time I found a realy good PTO winch all restored just like brand new
so I take away the 8000i warn winch and prepare to put this one!!
