I've got a 67 FJ40 that I got from original owners son. It's a black plate CA rig. All options including Belleview Winch, tow bar, factory soft top and bows. It'd got a hard top on it now. He put a V8 in it back in 1974. Driving the mountain roads of Tahoe pushed him to the V8. Was planning on a mechanical resto and leaving the Patina.... I have rebuilt axles with disc brakes, 2-1/2" lift springs for it. It even has a 60's old school cooler that comes with it. My plan was to wire wheel the frame and paint satin black. The motor I was told had 5k on the rebuild.
I'll post some pictures this weekend. I need to finish the spring axles swap. Any interest? I'm adding new 33x10.50R15 BFG's and Welded Steelies and hubcaps. I've also got a set a rear jump seats going with. I'll also get the brakes setup with a new Geo Metro booster.master setup the clear firewall spar. I'm going to go ahead and put on the Stainless exhaust from headers back also......Stay tuned.. thinking around $9500
I'll post pictures as soon as this is done.

More..... Frame is surface rust. Plan was to wire wheel and POR 15. I'll let the new owner do that.... I was going to unbolt body and just lift up 6" to be able to treat and paint frame. Then clear the Patina. Pull motor to do frame up front, paint block, stainless headers and drive it... Check out old school cooler..

very cool rig!! love the patina.. but how do you stop it from rusting more???. does it have any issues with over heating etc? have you already installed the front disc axel? and lift?

Cool truck. Some bumps and bruises but that's part of its charm! And kudos to you for having it priced accordingly. GLWS!

Don't drive in wet conditions and don't store it outside.
Painting or clear coat the exterior won't do anything for where the rust is from the inside out.

Super cool truck! In 96 ish I had a 72 with a 327 and that 40 straight up moved!

Updated price with some upgrades......new wheel/tires, rear jump seats and a new brake booster setup for the 4whl disc....I'll post pictures soon.
