Got axles and put them under the 40. Waiting on bushings and I'll put the springs on.

Please post plenty of pics once get it back together. I'm thinking of going with black rims with no hub cap and 33" on my truck.
 
Got springs on and new brake booster/spacer. Still need 1 ubolt and hook up steering to finish suspension and plumbing and bleed brakes... Replaced all oils and drive !! I'll post more pics as I finish. Ride height in the rear is good...

Got the brakes done, axles on and tires/wheels installed. Last things are vacuum line to booster and stainless exhaust from headers back...and drive it for a week!! The fun part. Hate to let her go but other projects in the mix... And twins at home.

Well I drove it this weekend. First thing that happened was a water leak from cap. Suspected thermo not opening and bad cap, so went and got new cap, belts, thermostat and gasket.... Tried again and no leaks so far. Only had time for a couple miles. Gas run and beach run.... I like it. Forgot about trans noise on these old girls. Got a bunch of compliments in just a couple miles..

Been driving it the last couple days and it's fun. The speedo cable was making a racket so I disconnected it. Get lots of compliments.... I'll post a video if I can figure it out..
 
I'm throwing in with the sale an SM465 4speed mated to a Toyota transfer case that I had that could be put in this rig or sold for $$. Also some KBS frame paint to clean up frame. I planned on selling trans separately, but it would bolt up to motor and be a good addition.
