My fj was running and driving fine. he other day i went to crank it and nothing. I disconnected the battery and reconnected it and it started right up. When I was leaving work , I cranked the key and nothing. I wiggled the negative wire and it got spark . I went to crank it turned ignition on heard fuel pump cranked and everything went dead. The battery is brand new . Also when i turn ignition on no lights no power , but battery is good. Even when i put the power jumper on its not getting juice. I thought it was a fuse so i checked them. This is all original and wires are everywhere. Please help . I have tried everything . I am getting voltage from the battery to the alternator and ignition etc. I am at the point of getting those harnesses that are neatly tucked away and rewiring the whole car.

Did you check your grounds?

^^^^^^^

Sounds like a ground issue.

1965 should not have wires everywhere. start at the battery cables, remove clean and tighten both ends.
or replace both if they are old or have had replacement ends used on them, corrosion can creep down under the insulation and not let current thru to the other end.

Fusible link wouldn't be intermittent with wiggling the negative cable.
I agree with 3 puppies. Start by pulling the battery cables, clean off where the negative is attached to the frame, replace the cables if they don't look perfect. They're cheap and it's a one banana upgrade.

Do NOT jump in and rewire everything. This will be something simple. If you rewire, you'll have 20 problems like this to solve before you get it all working.
