I am having problems with my wipers on my 1965 FJ40. They used to be tight on the arm that comes out of the motor, but now the arm that comes out of the motor spins inside the wiper arm no matter much I tighten the nut. Is there a fix for this that does not require buying a new wiper arm? Thanks.

Not sure how yours fit. I think on my 72 there is some tapered spines. You might be able to bond/glue the arm, or insert a square wire to provide some bite in the pot metal?

Your model should have come with two overhead wiper motors. Some pictures of your wiper arms and the shafts of your wiper motors would give a better idea of the problem you're having.

Thanks for taking a look. The wiper image is attached.

I went ahead and bought a $9 wiper arm from Speedway Motors and got that to work.

No bolt on side of round boss? Is there a threaded hole in the side? Does it say TNK anywhere on the arm?
