My bumperettes were always with the curve or swelling to the outside of the rig and yes, mine needed to "talked into" getting alingned.

Where did you source your stainless hardware?

Great buildup, keep it up man.

Thanks

Got all of it from www.boltdepot.com

Good source of stainless metric, and no minimum qty.
I guess I'll have to talk to these bumperettes during the weekend :D

What is Marine Clean and Metal Ready.

-What do they do.

-Nate

Marine Clean is a cleaner/degreaser.

Metal-Ready performs the following tasks:

1. Removes rust by dissolving it...metal is left clean & ready to paint.
2. Etches metal to provide a better surface profile for painting.
3. Coats the metal with zinc phosphate to inhibit further rusting and promote better paint adhesion.
4. Improves welding conductivity.
5. Removes rust stains from non-metallic surfaces such as porcelain,-ceramic, fiberglass.

Thanks

Great thread. Do you know the size bolts you used for the rear gate hinges? My 69 is jus a frame and about to start the reassembly. If you have the bolts sizes you used it would be very helpful. Would be handy for the door hinge size bolts, rear swing gate and windshield hinges.

Thanks for the help!

IT MOVES

I was driving it around the little commercial subdivision that my shop is in and just about everybody was coming out to see what the hell that noise was :D

One thing that really surprised me was how well the mini-truck p.s. worked.

I'll have to get ya'll some pics, it actually looks like a cruiser now. Got the fenders, bib, aprons painted and installed. Also got the hood and windshield painted, just need to get them ready to install.

Next hurdle: Finish wiring

This is my first visit to your thread. You should be very proud of yourself and what you have accomplished!. If you haven't done so lately, bo back to the first few pages of the thread so you can really get an idea of what yop started with. It doesnt look like the same vehicle. It looks amazing now. So much work but it will all be worth it when you can park her and no longer feel impulsive about needing to get it done. I tinker with mine all the time. You have done great work. I would like to see a car magazine style shoot when it is all done.

Good job.

my64fj40, you are the man, now show us the finished product.

A few updates.

Built a battery tray. I'm really happy with the way it came out. It has one support that bolts to the top of the fender, then the one leg that bolts to the side of the fender, and another support that bolts to the firewall rib. I just need to find a better way to fasten the battery down, what I got now works, but I just don't like the way it looks.

And the exhaust is also done. Finally. It was deafening before, now I can at least here myself think. I need to get yall a new video clip, it's a night and day difference.

It has a custom cross over pipe, then goes out a 3" pipe to a short Magnaflow, straight through design muffler. The tail pipe also came out really good, walking up to it you can't see any dangling pipe.

The dash is getting there. Still need to install a few more small things and clean up the wiring.

Also through in a pic of the engine compartment now. It still needs to have the wiring cleaned up also, but should turn out good.
