Thought I'd share with you guys and gals who appreciate the early Cruisers. Been working on this off and on for the last 3 years and finally wrapped her up this weekend. It is not a 100% correct resto. by any means but I thought it turned out nice.

Very nice. Does this mean work will begin on the 45LV again?

That is the plan! Got to wrap a 1HZ swap into my 45LPB this summer. Then next fall it will be full bore on the LV

looks like someone wants one of every early model!! Looks killer JP!

Thanks Brian! Now I just need you to find one of those rust free Cali SWB 45s for me:D

Thanks for the kind words guys! I really enjoy bringing these old girls back to life

For reference here is what I started with. It was a pretty good starting point being a So Cal cruiser its whole life. Just a little rust in the rear sill, but otherwise straight and rust free.

Another one saved!

Looks nice JP. What color is that? It looks like a darker version of Spring Green

Hey Antony, it is actually a 60's Jaguar color. An old mud member RobertduLake (i believe that was his name) had his late model 40 painted that color and I always loved it. I can provide the color code if anyone is interested. I plan on painting my 45LPB this color as well

Greetings JP. Can you share what you did for your door glass runs, weatherstrips, gaskets, etc., please? Parts sources? Parts numbers? Refurbish techniques?

"Bug-catcher" window rubber---Are those reproductions? Did you resurrect the originals---how? Mine are either cracked, shrunk, brittle or all of the above.

The inner soft-bristle and outer curved-rubber door glass "sweeps?"---Those are attached by "hog-rings," correct? New sweeps? Oem? Aftermarket? Where did you get them? Or did you refurbish the originals? My outer sweeps, or what is left of them, are crispier than burnt pizza crust.

Window runs---Same questions. New oem parts? Aftermarket? Part number and source, please?

How-to threads on restoring and obtaining parts for early hardtop top door glass seals aren't common, or I haven't searched well enough. Any tips appreciated. Thanks!

good question Red, That's something I also need to track down. We found the u shaped felt in the top part (is that the window runs?) at the " local" Rolls Royce used parts dealer. Actually that is the largest worldwide used and repro RR parts dealer BRABO and it is my neighbour. :)

Anyway that is a perfect fit.
