Time for what seems like my annual "resto" thread. Up on the blocks this year is my last of 3 1962 FJ40's, and this one is special because it turns out that I am going to be a father in about 6 more months :D... so this 40 is going to be sacrificed up for the baby fund

The resto is going to be fast and furious as I am setting a goal for being finished and up for sale in 3 months...that may be unrealistic but I figured should start off aiming high!

Got started off in a hurry today, took the cruiser down to the frame with the help of my pops and neighbor....

This is how the 40 started out the morning..... She has an amazingly straight body so it should make for easy body work, but the old girl needs a heart transplant as the original drivetrain is long gone. Lucky I have a few old F's and 3spds lying around to choose from :D

More updates to come!

but thanks for the kind words Gabe:flipoff2:

Yeah work on that and totally ignore the cruiser we are driving 2400 mile in. Why would you do it any different.

HA... I drove the 45 around the block a couple of times today.... it is ready to rock and roll. The ball is in your court now :flipoff2:

Congrats JP.

Thank you sir! Look for me to do a Huodini in and about 6 months and vanish from the face of the cruiser world:crybaby:

Does this surprise you...haven't you been keeping up, he currently has 4 unfinished projects going on right now...his pops lv, his 45, the 2nd lv, and now this 40....the reason he will vanish in 6 months is cause he'll be divorced or dead

It brings us great pleasure to punish you JP....anything to put a smile on someone else's face at your expense is always a great joy....happy Monday man!

I only got 3 months, so at least you have more time than me... Conversely my 60 is my baby carrier, the M3 isn't conducive to infant travel, it is too fast and goes in a sideways motion more than 50% of the time, plus it only has 2 doors. So the 60 it is!! YAY!!

yes I believe the M3 might just give the baby brain damage the frist time you jambed the pedal :hillbilly:

Congrats JP, I hope its twins.

OH, and thanks for the entertainment.
