Is the floor originally painted the same as the exterior color or is it satin black? Also can someone send me photos of the dash on there fj25?

Are you talking about the passenger area floor or the underneath vehicle floor?, both are body color on the 25s i have.

Gabe,

A question for you: I've wondered if the blue plate is just standard blue painted or is it a baked enamel or something else to resist the gasoline dissolving it?

I think it’s enamel baked. It’s not paint or fuel would destroy it.

Seriously, those are fake digital pictures, right? 😳

Inconceivable!

Yeah, wow. Pretty sure Mark A (made/convinced me) to buy a whole carb just to get that piece of glass years ago. 🤔

probably good advice too! I bought an early Aisan 2BBL carb from a sedan just for that blue plate not too long ago... they're pretty hard to find. I think someone at one point was looking into reproducing them somehow and found that it was far too difficult.

The "trouble" with this NOS stuff Gabe is you're gonna open and install them! It kinda hurts, separating them from their packaging after 60 years... but its really nice not having to refurbish something too

I agree. Most of my nos collection belongs in a museum. The problem is time and money. I search for hours a day for this stuff. It has become my obsession. I also pay a lot for the parts. For example, I purchased 2 boxes of New parts this time. 80 pounds worth to be exact. Paid $250.00 shipping to get them here. Only to find 5 things worth anything for the most part. I doubt the museum would pay me enough to cover my cost and effort. They like donations for the most part. I have thought about a display in my shop with nos parts however no one comes over who would appreciate it and my wife thinks it’s just junk. lol I’m not a wealthy man just a hard working one who tosses my cruiser proceeds back into my hobby. So giving everything away to the museum is not really an option and it’s not close for me to go visit my babies. Greg Miller and I have shared a few conversations about some things making it into the museum. For example these rare old Toyota posters I purchased.
