I am with pinhead on the ebay alternators, never again. I had one where the internal regulator failed and output full power to the harness, fried my fusable link and stranded me. I just don't trust it. I am planning the photoman conversion with a new toyota sequoia alternator. More expensive, yes, but in the end a cleaner and more stock toyota solution. Just my opinion. Problem I see is actually verifying that what they say has been done has been done. It would take alot of inspection and research to actually figure out if the internal regulator they have "replaced" is up to the task of the higher output, etc. Many of the companies out there that are selling "rebuilt" high amp alt's are shady small time businesses and you just have no idea what you are truly getting. To me, this is a vital area that can go very wrong. I learned this the hard way.
