Everything I've ever bought from City Racer has been top quality. He is a top-notch vendor and a Mud member besides. Would never think twice about buying from him again.

What tire profile are you looking to achieve on a 15" wheel?

There are other less expensive options available for OEM 15" wheels.

I have no experience with the 16" repro. wheels but have purchased items from City Racer and would do so again without hesitation.

Basically the profile of the 7.50r16. About 32 inches tall and 8.5 inches wide.

I am using City racer 16" wheels. They are great. Here is my rig with 235/85/16 with about 2.5" lift.

Beautiful truck and the look I'm going for. The 7.5r16e KM3 is even skinnier. About 8.7 vs 9.3 according to size calcs I've looked at. Just have to ask my tire guy if the ride will be horrible (and listen to him this time). Last time he warned me about a rough ride, I didn't listen.

FWIW, I had 33x10.5x15 BFG's on stock 15's prior to the 16" wheels. The 16's drive way better and eliminated the want for power steering. I dont do much wheeling, so getting stuck a little further away from home isnt a problem.

I had 31.5x10.5 x 15 Yokohama's on my last 40. Looked good but I really want tall and skinny this time. They don't have to be 32 or 33s, but if they're 30, they would have to be proportionally skinnier so maybe a 30x8r15 would do it. I've searched high and low though and can't find anything in an r15 that works.

I ordered a set of 5 last week! Still need to decide on either 750r16 km3’s or 235/85 geolander m/t.

I thought the recommended rim width for the 235/85 tires was more like 6.5" Not trying to bad mouth anyone in any way.

The old TSL Super Swampers radials were notoriously slick on anything but dry pavement but they didn't have the siping of those mentioned above. TSL says the 33x9.5 R16s should go on an 8" rim.

I have been running 255/85r16 for over 25 years on 5.5 splits

That equals 33/10x16

There are TONS of tires at this size lots of guys go with 16 ... because there are more options

Even all these can go on the 5.5 rims each 10” (approx) wide...
8.25r16 = 34”
9.00r16 = 36”
11.00r16 = 38”

:meh:

Here are city racer 16” wheels with 7.5R16 BFG KM3’s on OEM springs and a very slight lift at the shackles. My rear fenders are also trimmed by the PO. With these wheels and tires fender trimming would be totally unnecessary. They tuck up nicely. I’ve been very happy with both the wheels and tires so far.

235/85s are fine on 5.5-inch rims. The size is equivalent to 7.50 x 16, which was installed on millions of 5.5-inch Land Rover and Land Cruiser rims around the world. On the other hand, I keep seeing owners squeezing 31 x 10.50 x 15s on stock Toyota 5.5 x 15" rims. Now that's pushing it.

Obviously these trucks are not typically smooth down the road, but how are those tires? As mentioned I've bought the wrong tire before and my kidneys paid for it. Just wondering if there was any noticeable difference.
