Thanks! I used a full gallon, none left over. I could have used a bit more. The finishing was way more $$$ than I had hoped, but it came out great. I'm really glad I didn't use carpet. I was told I could also use an oil based poly, but I actually wanted to test chassis saver anyways.

Awesome build and beautiful finished product! What hardware did u use for your drawer pulls and slides, and where did you get them?

Thanks! I used accuride 9308 and 9301 slides. The latch is a Vector-T latch. I got both from Allegis Corp. They are pricey, but you get what you pay for. Even building a "budget" set of drawers is a lot of time, so it makes no sense to me when people cheap out on good hardware.

How much Chassis Saver did you use in the project?

I was hoping that it would cover a larger area per volume of paint vs. Monstaliner (e.g., I was hoping that a quart of Chassis Saver would be enough to function as a base-layer for a gallon of Monstaliner--even if the Chasis Saver would cover all surfaces, while the Monstaliner would be more selectively applied.)

Thanks everyone for your praise and comments- you've inspired me to pursue building these drawers. I've been working long hours to make it all happen. I have some pretty cool things in the works. You can check my sig link to the website of the business I'm starting. Sorry there's not much content yet. It takes alot more time and money than you originally think... But I don't sit on my hands, and should have another drawer option for you guys soon. But that will all be announced in another thread...

As far as the drawer system I built- I've gotten to do some good testing. I'm really loving it and realize that the cargo system is a life changer. I have realized that a work surface is important to me, at least, and have incorporated that into my next design. The Vector-T handle has proven to be quite robust, even after slamming the tailgate on it without latching it properly a few times! The Accuride slides are money- I wouldn't have a system without them. Their quiet operation, overtravel, and secure locking in and out are great. The Monstaliner has held up well except one spot where a sharp metal object was dragged across it. It removed a small area of the top layer, but the undercoat is still intact. The ARB fridge has also been a life changer and the sears battery will run it for 3-4 100 degree days straight before needing a charge. Well, that's all for now- baby's crying... Custom bracket

Where did you get this custom bracket? It is EXACTLY what I need (I have that same switch i have been looking to mount, but haven't found a suitable bracket)?

Any chance of sourcing another one from where ever that came from? Please PM me if you can help with that!

It was a bracket I had mounted in my prior truck, just modified. I bent and welded it- it wasn't too hard. What you can't see is a gusset underneath and a 1/4 square of acrylic on top, to make sure there's no arcing from the connections. It's bolted to 2 threaded holes right next to the fuse box. I can't remember- I may have moved a ground to steal the hole. You could easily have a local fab shop whip one up and just spray paint it. I only powder coated it because I was dropping off a bunch of other bits. I'll try to dig you up some better pics.

Unfortunately, this is the best pic I have of the bracket. You can see which holes I captured and also the faint weld distortion across the middle from the gusset underneath. It's not the ideal bracket- a third attachment point would make it stronger, but it seems to work well.

Gorgeous Cruiser man Love the look of it with the color matched Blueberry bumper. When it is time to get a roof rack, I'm going to call BIOR and ask for another one exactly like yours! I really like it, I think it is perfect for a Hundy.

And yeah, the quality and fit of your cargo system blew me away. I am more of a crude fabricator, but yours looks as good as it functions.

They also sell the heavy duty drawer slides that are used in this build so you can order those as well. Have your credit card ready, it's a pretty hefty bill for just the hardware pieces!

Thanks for the link. I have some slides already. I liked the lock though. I have a plan in my head that is similar but I am sure it won't have the fit and finish the one here does.

Another question - where did you (or anyone else who wants to chime in with a 100) run your large gauge wire through the firewall and what route did you use to get it to the back panel?

aux battery on pass side, through grommet in firewall, lands behind glove box. routed in wire channel in pass door sill.

I will give that a look. I am planning on running 1 gauge pos and negative all the way back there, it just looked like that hole was already pretty darn full. Thanks guys! I did run my battery controller through there.

I ran 2x 4# wire from the aux battery location, next to the rear AC lines, above the frame rail and into the cabin in the passenger 2nd row seat area. There are two rubber grommets you can come up through at that location, or two more in the 3rd row seating area, depending on where you're putting your aux panel box.
