This should probably be in classifieds but its more or less a group buy.:D I am bringing things in from OZ as I was trying to source another OEM subtank for my LX450/ Chinook build. Well it kind of snow balled when someone asked for a 100 series tank. It turns out the place im working with has 8 100 series subtanks available. These will be complete units- at least this is what i have asked for. This would include the tank, straps, filler, transfer pump, switch, and gauges... This is what comes with the 80 series and I would assume the 100 series also includes all these bits. Here is the link to the original parts post.

I dont need a firm commitment yet but I would like to know if there is interest and then I will firm everything up regarding price. I expect the 100 series tanks to be similar in price if not a little higher.

Im not familiar with the OEM install on the 100s so please review posts by others to see if there are any issues. I believe the cannister was moved in some years and poses an issue.

Moderator- I would appreciate if you could leave this up for a couple days just so the 100 guys have a chance to decide if they are interested even if its not exactly in the right place.

Thanks

I might be interested if there was a solution around the Charcol cansister in my 2004

I too may be interested, for my '07 LX

I seem to remember a thread where someone proposed relocating the charcoal canister from the rear up to the front by using an earlier style charcoal canister or bracket and extending the hoses.

Not sure how feasible this is though.

Does anyone have any insight on this?

i don't have a 100 series so if someone can chime in maybe we can see more of these 100s in the backcountry.

I'd be interested. Although the charcoal canister would have to be a total retro fit. The shoebox style I have has one of the VSV's inside the canister itself, I believe the older style does not.

List

ok. ill bring a few in. if you could please state your interest in the link so i can firm up a list. Ill pm everyone in order with the final price and you can claim it or pass. Im only bringing in 4 tanks at most for the 100.

Im not asking for them to pull the lines... They are way to long and there is no way they will get here in good condition. I had the 80 lines a while back but they were beat up when they got here. you could have them made up relatively easily if you wanted a redundant system but Im presuming most guys will run the transfer to the main tank.

Somebody please confirm or deny but I "think" the diesel version has a valve that allows the engine to draw from either the main or aux. and the petrol version is a transfer system.

And I'm guessing these tanks are from LPG conversions on petrol UZJ100's. The HDJ100 folks normally upgrade just the aux tank size and reuse all the other parts.

Sounds good to me. I wanted to transfer anyway.

Ive asked for some clarification on the differences so hopefully I can provide a little more information for the 100 series owners.

I'm down for a "complete" set up for the 100. I would like a complete part number list to verify its a complete kit so to speak as I'm sure others would like the same.

Thanks

Shane

I'm interested in a 100 set up. Can you get a solid idea on the price??

x2. I'd be interested if complete.

i'm curious how you will fit them once you get them. Are you getting the SUB button as well and is there provision on your dash lights for the SUB light to light up?
I'm assuming the wiring might already be there since they generally use the same loom for most of the models. I have so many plugs that are sitting there for options i dont have on my GXL !!
cheers

The 100 series dual filler is super long and might bring the postage cost up compared to the 80 series on as the 100 has two holes in the filler the 80 has the one hole and a flap to switch front to sub tank.
If your getting a container and room vs cost isn't a issue it should be sweet.

I still have a 100 tank, straps, filler and change over valves with looms cut on the vehicle side of the plugs in the work shop if anyone needs pics

From memory the postage quotes I got to send to the US was around the price swcruiser is selling the whole kits for.

Swcruiser :if you run out of bits and seems you can post super cheap ill be happy to work something out with you.

Clint,
Thanks! It would be shipped on a container as i did last time. I googled the filler for the 100 and yes its kind of a difficult part to ship. My concern is ensuring the come in all banged up. Ill probably have to ask them to separate different parts to make sure.

when you get them in the USA i'm happy to crawl underneath mine and take any photos that you may need and also any in dash photos if i can.
Then hopefully someone can do a writeup on the install/retrofit.
