- but since 100% of all 100 SERIES owner operators have a CHIP key , and NO non-chip equipped stand alone metal blanks assumed everyone

here in the world famous 100 SERIES MASTER KEY THREAD already knows this , :D

You would be suprised.

If you did happen to start stocking and cutting immobilizer keys for the 100 series that would be awesome! I have people asking me all the time the best place to buy keys. It would be way cool if you could code cut the Lexus keys too.

I don't think I said anything about DENSO, but it is printed on the back of the keys.

someone did mention it in this exact thread some where ?

(Me, and they may just be cheap Chinese clone key blanks, offered on eBay/Amazon, with the only apparent labeling being a forged Denso tag)

I’ll have to dig, almost all of my primary & secondary keys have been converted to a aftermarket YotaMD plastic shell at this point, I may have some uncut keys, or key pieces/parts in a junk bin or parts drawer.

First off, huge thanks to @Mauser for supplying me with a virginized IC900 chip!

Hopefully somebody can help point me in the right direction from here forward. I have read nearly every thread I can find on this topic and can't seem to find an exact answer.

I am currently working on an 80 series with a 2UZ swapped from a 98 Land Cruiser. This project was placed in my hands with no keys at all from the donor 100 series.

I have installed the virginized chip into the ecu and will be ordering a key soon from somewhere soon (recommendations appreciated).

My question is:
How should I go about programming the new master key when The 80 series doesn't have the security/immobilizer light to indicate if and when I'm in programming mode. Do I just assume that if I do the "pedal dance" in the correct sequence and count seconds that it should work? I only need one key as it will just be tied to the key ring and tucked under the dash.

I've tried digging through the wiring diagrams on ProDemand to see if I could rig up a security light but I couldn't find anything about the light in the anti-theft wiring diagrams.

I know somebody previously mentioned in this thread that upon plugging in their virgin ecu, it was automatically in programming mode. Any advice on the best method in my situation?

I never thought about not having a security light.

The easiest way I can think of is to just pair three keys by inserting them into the ignition switch and hope for the best. Or you could try adding one key and then use Techstream from there.

If you happen to have a 98 or 99 LC or LX available you could plug the virgin ecu into it and add the keys.

If you need me to I would be happy to do it if you wanted to send the ecu and keys.

Went to a Lexus dealer, they want $220 for one key, and went to Toyota dealer and they want $250.
This is JUST for the key! That’s a hard pill to swallow. Are these made of “Gold”? 😂
My Lexus dealer told me that they will do it for $165 and program as many keys as I want. But its more if they provide the keys.

Issue is I can't find a damn key that works. Bought several thinking they would work and did the walkthrough and none of them programed. Now actually my main key doesn't even work... I feel like I'm screwed.

It might help, if you mention year model, LC or LX, and if you have at least one working master key.

I know that Toyota has the edge cut, where Lexus uses the internal cut.

I know that Lexus uses a short and a long blade, depending on year.

I understand that the early models require an “virginized” eeprom to program w/o a master. While the later years can be reset through Techstream (with an external code)

I’m pretty sure that 2 different RFID chips are used depending on year.

I believe that two different RF transmitters may be used, depending on year.

I have the short key and the one that came with the vehicle wasn't even cut. It was until I tried to program a new one, just used for keyless entry. The cut key is my valet key. Quite annoying.

If @Mauser is still doing ECUs, he can “virginize” one for you, 1010keys on eBay can cut keys from a picture, If you can’t have downtime on your vehicle, you can chase down a spare ECU from an eBay salvage vehicle (get the part number off of your current ECU), probably all for less than the dealer, or a locksmith (if you’re patient).

If @Mauser is out of the ECU business/hobby, he’s documented what he has done, and I’m half tempted to give it a try on one of our spare ECUs just for the challenge.

I didn't think of it earlier or else I would have just opted to send it to you. I will likely just do that once I finally get some blank keys.

Would this from eBay work for 2004 LC?

DO NOT USE this kind of key. I had one and occasionally the key will fail to start the car. the extra distance of immobilization chip sometimes will fail to start the car.
Thanks. Which one would you recommend ?

I got the key cut and register to lock/unlock doors. However I can not register to start the car. It gives an error. I am wondering if the chip is not the right one for 2004 LC. Any help is appreciated.
