I emailed KOR. They are unable to provide full droop measurements because they do not have any kits installed right now, but they did confirm that the LCA's do not extend track width and that their differential drop bracket drops the diff 1". This is the same amount of drop that the Slee diff drop bracket provides.

It doesn't look like the kit provides any additional travel over other market offerings (tough dog, OME, Icon, etc) and maybe that was my mistake in assuming so, it doesn't look like KOR themselves ever made that claim.

So, additional travel over stock? Yes. Additional travel over a 2.5" lift from someone else? No. And it seems that this was never the claim they made anyways. If you hate Tbars and have money, this seems like a good option.

Thanks for taking the time. The kit is still limited to stock travel if the UAA is not changed, yes?

Tundras CV work in the 200's if thats any help:meh:

are they longer than stock... I was under the impression that the 200 series had longer CV's that the 100

Tundra CV are longer than 200 CV is what I was trying to say. I dont know about the difference of 200 - 100.

I would imagine the CV is different since the tundra and 200 uses unit hubs and we use classic wheel bearings.

Not necessarily, bearing races are bearing races whether the outer race is in a unit or the hub assembly, I don't think one design is going to require an entirely different shaft design. Having the CV ends machined if the dimensions are close (in the right direction) is not totally unreasonable.

Well having actually seen both axles, they are quite different in both size and design. The tundra axle uses a nut to secure the cv axle in the hub, while we use a C-clip. The splines on the tundra axle arent nearly long enough to engage our drive flanges. I also highly doubt the spline count is the same for both the inner and outer connection. And for the last factor, unit hubs are in most cases more compact than a tapered bearing hub, our CVs outer shaft is exceptionally long to clear the snout on the knuckle.

If/when I'm working on a LT kit i will be either looking to extend the intermediate shaft of our CV axles or having a custom axle made.

Yeah, I think you are correct. If you look at some of the photos they posted, it looks like the inner flange of the joint socket will limit down travel as it approaches the spring pretty quickly

One would think they would offer UAA with part of the kit because with factory UAA you are very limited with travel. The advantage they may have is more compression with a coil over because a 100 series with OME t bars can not reach full compression or at least I have never seen one that could.

Pictured below is stock AHC and you will not see an OME set up that can do that. Hopefully a coil over set up can.

You probably can reach full compression if you remove the front sway bar, on my stock hdj 100 with ahc, even on level ground i could not get it to come in contact with the bump stop, so forget about it when going uphill or in high position.

With the sway bar removed i gained 4 cm of up travel at the whell on leveled ground and even gong up hill i can still compress untill the bump stop even from high position, makes a very big difference.

I believe with ome or others stiffer torsion bars and good shocks driving without front sway bar on the road isn’t an issue ( at least it is not on mine with ahc)
Companies have been doing coil over remote reservoir shocks since 2000 in france, often to avoid changing torsion bars when upgrading ahc to normal suspensions but not only, not seen on racing as regulations restrict the suspension design to original, only shocks doubling is allowed unless you go to prototype categorybut then you compete against buggies.

Any names or pictures available on the coil over companies in France? Are the kits well received?

I am in china this days and can’t post picture at the moment,

Look for suspension-sport hdj100 on goole, you should find it, proflex (NL) did some custom orders, as P2S ( top notch shocks FR)and S99 (FR), Oram (IT), and many others i am shure have done it including the russians on oem shocks.

If the springs are set well you will not loose down travel vs a normal shock as the spring seat will be lower than where the top arm come close to the shock body.

There are quite a few sets going arround ( mostly peoples doing long trip orexpedition in east or africa) and owners are happy, just a threaded shock body with a spring arround it, nothing special about it.
Some add to double stack 2 different spring to get the right spring rate and travel, the hdj100 is much heavier that the uzj.

The main argument for this was either added payload even with HD torsion bars or to prevent a arm or torsion bar key cracks by shifting liads to where the frame was designed for, ahc lc carry more than half the load on the rams.

There is an other famous french company doing kind of an airshock used on races like the dakar, Fournales, their shock is by design shock and spring, and can be used to compensate for extra load as well or extra lift. This has been used on all landcruisers including 80 and 100 on race or expeditions.

There is an italian company making AHC like suspension for any cars with roll and lift control

I’ll get some droop and compression measurements this weekend.....
I think the biggest difference will come from the compression numbers. The coils seem to compress a lot easier than T-bars.

This has to to the worst attempt at a****** marketing. Earth x guy you are rude. This forum is exactly where you want to market. I am out I don't want this kit just based off principal. If kor is to busy to sell I'm too busy to buy. End of story see you later.

EarthX is just a customer. From what I've read he is not affiliated with KOR in any way. FWIW, he's always been pleasant to me when I've interacted with him online.

EarthX is just a paying customer. He paid his money and took his chances, on a "new product" that there wasn't much information about.

While I would love to hear his thoughts on this product, he has no real obligation to do so.

He is also correct that there are Land Cruiser owners that are not on 'Mud, I'd owned Land Cruisers for 20+ years before I signed up over here.
