This has to to the worst attempt at a****** marketing. Earth x guy you are rude. This forum is exactly where you want to market. I am out I don't want this kit just based off principal. If kor is to busy to sell I'm too busy to buy. End of story see you later.

No one is selling you a kit so what are you out of ?

You guys are forgetting a very important detail to consider. How does it ride and articulate compared to stock? A tape measure is not going to tell you that. We have all seen ramp queens that don't wheel well. Stock length heavy duty upper and lower arms combined with a high end coil-over....? Sounds pretty damn good to me...:).

This is one of the big selling points for me. Getting rid of the harsh unload of the t-bars on the trail. Bounce, bounce, bounce! I would love to get rid of that.

softer t-bars, aftermarket UCAs, well-tuned longer shocks (e.g. 2.5" remote res king/icon with compression adj), and better bump stops will get you pretty close to this comfort level in most situations I'd speculate.

Softer t-bars?? Enlighten me!!

Honestly, my new Tough Dog 53mm shocks and Nitro UCAs are already a vast improvement. I need to do some research on bump stops for our 100s, and t-bars evidently (running OMEs right now).

What added weight are you running (i.e. bumpers, winch, sliders, dual battery) ?

I don't think 5k for a softer ride on the trail is justification enough.

To me its simple if this kit doesn't improve the performance of the truck its just not worth it...... If it was a long travel it would be.

To me this is akin to spending thousands to do a 3 link and a coil over on an 80 series but not get any more wheel travel out of it.

Now the kit is pretty cool and if I had a huge chunk of cash burning a hole in my pocket I may be tempted just for the cool factor.

i'm wondering why nitro gear hasn't come out with a stronger CV or a longer CV for something like this.

Sweet! You ought to show those goodies off in your pic/signature! I was under the impression you might be running stock weight with OME and 53mm ralphs - which could have explained the harshness. But, it seems your setup setup would be great for the weight you've got and should only improve with the dual battery and skids.

I can't imagine the harshness you're feeling is due to bottoming out - unless you're flying down the trail - so bumpstops wouldn't be the first thing I'd look at. Is the rest of your front end in good shape i.e. lower ball joints, tie rod ends, sway bar bushings, etc?

Bumpers front and rear, winch, sliders. Dual battery and skids incoming.

Actually, while I was installing my bumper I noticed one of my LBJs was leaking grease, and my tie rod ends need to be replaced. I am also waiting for @reevesci to get recovered and recuperated from the fires out in CA so he can send me some extended sway bar links. So all that is next on my list.

I ran an ARB Combo, 12K Winch w/ Steel cable, full skids, etc on my 100 with OE Torsion bars, no sway bar on the front with remote res shocks. I will say, the ride was amazing off road and always was on the bump stop before lifting a wheel.

Picture of my old 100, just going up a embankment that is quite steep and the bump stop nearing the LCA.

Still haven't had time to finish a new thread on the kit but I did grab a couple compression and droop measurements. I set my bump-stops to leave about 3/4" of shock shaft showing just in case.... I have a tendency to get airborne when we are at the dunes. So i guess you could gain even more up-travel.

Full droop is right about 25 1/2" from center of hub.

Full compression is just under 16 1/2" ...... You could get more here by raising the bumpstops.

So that's about 2" of droop over what I'm seeing on the SPC/OME combination on my son's TLC. Suddenly this conversion is looking a whole lot more interesting...

All this droop is fine and dandy, but i'm curious about how our axles are going to respond.

I'm loving it. Gives me hope for more innovation for our platform. I hope this gives KOR some interest in creating a full kit with more travel or that another fabricator sees that there is enough interest in our group to design one. Either way I'd love to add this kit as is. I'm just irresponsible and in the process of adding an 80 series hahaha

Thanks @EarthX for the uodate.

Maybe a dumb question but does the coilover conversipn allow the 100 to be level or does it still need rake?

Don't you only require rake if you plan to load up the back of the vehicle with weight. If you don't haul anything, you can go with softer springs that also don't have any rake.

Exactly the same way as every component in this apex build: needing more rebuilds than the factory setup :D It is the same as with the Icon setup and you know this when you venture into buying the parts.
