Can you text it to me, I wanna share it on FB. PM my cell...

Tried to text you but too large to send via text, it isn't very long not sure what the problem is. I think my old iPhone would reduce the quality to make it easier to send, this piece of s*** Droid doesn't do any of that.

Sent it to your email.

1996, LX450, 155K miles, turbo 1FZ FE, temp about 68 degrees.

6.7 seconds, no tricks no brake boosting etc just off the brake on the gas.

slight up hill, driver and passenger, 35's stock gears, shortbus front with 9k winch, metaltech sliders, Slee skidplate, 4x4labs rear bumper, 4x4labs jerry can holder, 5 gal of fuel, 5 gal of water, spare inside, wagongear tailgate, roof rack, custom stereo, 3/4 tank of gas and probably another 100lbs of stuff inside.

Video is uploading to youtube. Speedo is off by 11% so 54mph is 60mph no GPS in the truck today but I have used my Garmin GPS many times and it is 11%
My Isuzu swapped LX450 got out of first gear in 6 seconds......... [emoji46]

That is seriously impressive Ryan.

Thanks! Cool to think about a fully armored, lifted, 35" tire on stock gear, '96 LX, being 0.7 seconds faster than a 5.7L V8 stock tundra.

Still let's see the diesel video! I really do want to see other options. This is not a race car and we know it is a very small measure of the total package, but would be cool to have videos of the different sounds, drivetrains, etc all in one place.

I'm still waiting to get to 60mph......

Wonder if you'd drop to low 6's w 4.88s. If you were local we could shove 5.29s in that bad boy and do a RWD only run in an afternoon. I dunno if that would cause another gear shift and spoil the time though?

I would love to see an outside view of that thing launching to 60! That's just so crazy awesome!

I think it has low 6's in it as it sits, but like I was saying launching under boost I think would be catastrophic for the original driveshaft ujoints. You can see there is a touch of lag maybe 0.3seconds getting everything moving.

A little more gear like 4.88 would help and if you dropped the armor you could gain quite a lot. But that's not the point. ;) I wanted a little turbo with great response, 400hp and I do feel I hit that target. This 80 isn't a racecar that comes later...... The next one will be an amusement park ride, complete with four bucket seats and harnesses. Goal will be 800-900hp. Lol

Front u joints? Pull the shaft, lock the CDL and spool up that snail! :) My fronts are quite egged out on the yoke too...

Interesting thread. My bone stock 1HD-T is pretty slow with armour and 34's, but it gets me where I need to go and doesn't use a lot of fuel doing it. I was seriously considering a new turbo, intercooler, exhaust, and intake manifold for it, but opted to just buy a car to make fast instead.

Yeah the thread seems a little racecarish but that is not really the intended point. But how do you measure a vehicle comparable power on so many different vehicles? The 0-60 has been used for decades. It's quick, easy and anyone can do it. Cell phones make it a thousand times easier to document and with the added benefit of being able to hear what the engine sounds like. My goal was never to go 6.7 seconds 0-60, but it was too have extra power towing and not having to get passed by a Prius coming out of Albuquerque like happened to me 2 years ago coming back from moab. Lol

I mean at this point we have at least:
2 stock motor options
1 TRD supercharged option
1 stock turbo option
1 or 2 Toyota gas engine swap options
2 or 3 Toyota diesel options
4 or 5 non Toyota (Cummins 4/6, Isuzu, Chevrolet, etc) diesel options
2 or 3 V8 gas options LT1, LS swaps, etc.

That's a lot of data and the only people who really know how each does is the owner because the market is fairly small. Just good Intel in my opinion.

I don't think we have a single swap that has posted dyno numbers. It would be very hard for me to jump on an engine swap without knowing what my roi was.
