So, where is Luke now. Still reproducing or not? Would anyone be opposed to a modified scuff plate that is more durable and attractive.

Thanks Bob.

I'm in the 80 section now.....It 's good to see someone making a new and improved scuff plate....

I like these and will be getting some soon. Nice work Bob!

Got my sill plates in yesterday. The look great. I'll get pic up when I get them installed.

Speaking of: the sill plates I removed (I think they were fabricated by PO?) did not extend outboard past the weatherstripping on the bottom of the door frame. I guess I will need to cut away this weatherstripping so that the sill protector can sit inboard far enough to close the doors. Also, it wont fit over both the wiring harness and the weatherstripping on the passenger side.

Question. Did the weatherstripping end at the factory sill plate? Is the weatherstripping on the door alone enough to seal the bottom; or is there something I'm missing?

I'm planning on new door and door opening weatherstripping soon, so my install options are wide open. For those of you that have these sweet new plates; how have you been installing them?
