What box did you use for the controller?
Nicely done. There is nothing quite as exhilarating as getting your s*** stuck in the remote wilderness by yourself in the winter. It's quite the rush when you finally get the rig free.View attachment 3277439
Back at camp. It snowed that night so the stove kept things comfortable. All in all, still a fun trip. And yes chukar were located.

Thinking a transmission line had a catastrophic failure… it was pretty late in the day to get a read on it… gonna crawl under it after work today a see what’s what. What happened?
I'm nursing a slow power steering leak on mine that hopefully will hold out to warmer/longer days. That's where my mind went on the pic.Thinking a transmission line had a catastrophic failure… it was pretty late in the day to get a read on it… gonna crawl under it after work today a see what’s what.
Glad I could invoke a stroke of paranoia early Monday morning haI'm nursing a slow power steering leak on mine that hopefully will hold out to warmer/longer days. That's where my mind went on the pic.
Isuzu. All very identical to the ones that came out and now it shifts better than every. Adjusted the throttle valve cable as well while I was at it, so that is very likely part of that feelingNice did you buy Toyota ones or the Isuzu ones?
Wellvisor.comBrand and where'd you buy them?

I wish I could dig as hard when I am doing yardwork
Solo spring camping/exploration trip in remove NV. Went to scout out some new chukar spots for next season. Almost ended up needing a rescue, but rear winch and burying a spare tire got me out of a sticky situation. Otherwise help would have been 2+ hours away, one direction.
Always neat finding old mining ruins along the way.
The shaft on this one was pretty deep. At least 7-8 seconds before a rock hit the bottom.
That ladder looked pretty sketchy.
Things got interesting when the road up to my camp spot was washed out. I found what looked like a suitable crossing point, and even dug a bit with a shovel to make sure the ground wasn't too soft, but the top 1' was pretty firm, and the next 3-4' where endless goop. Probably the closest thing to quicksand I have seen. I knew the second my front tires dropped into the wash I was in trouble. Even with the tires aired down to 8psi and all lockers engaged, I was not going anywhere. High lift jack on the front bumper did nothing and just sunk into the ooze. Luckily, I have a rear winch on the 80, and carry a small army surplus trench shovel. So after about 2 hours of digging, I was able to use the spare as a winch point and get unstuck.
