Custom axle shafts for the 5 stud conversion? From what I could work out the 79 and 80 have different splines at the diff pumkin...
Ok that's my intention as well, I've ordered all the parts to make it work.Yes

Well considering we have everything in hand to build a 105 (complete axle assemblies), we got the parts if needed. I have not done this conversion before so will just have to see.

The hubs were just bolted up for purposes of checking the wheels/tires. Nothing else. The donor truck had a nice set of locked 80 axles and the idea was to use at much of that as possible. But I also have the other complete new 105 axle assemblies that can be used if necessary. Just the 105 hubs are bolted up right now but all of that stuff can be used if necessary.Well wouldnt you know this by now since you have the hubs on and the axles in or is is just on hubs?

The only difference for the rears should be the larger 10mm hub studs, the 80 shafts can be modded for that or run RCV shafts and 100 flanges, you can use 100 IFS drive flanges up front, they're 10mm studs and 30 spline.
Or 105 rear shafts.

Not with the 80 thirds though right? 30 vs 32 spline?
Could you show us the details of fitting the flares? It looks like they require quite a few square holes in the metalwork for the fixings.Yes
