Moab 2017

More Moab 2017 Did a 4500 mile road trip that included a lot of wheeling with this awesome week at Moad and never removed my front sway bar. And that was mostly because we were on and off highway.

Single black diamond trail called Fire Break Five, Browns Camp, Tlliamook State Forest, Oregon during the dry season. These rocks are much slipperier than the granite of Rubicon that I cut my teeth on back in 90. I can imagine what these trails are like when it’s raining and it probably involves pulling a lot of winch line.

How do you like your Tires in the Snow?
Dam you sure know how to have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!
On that note I have to go to work :deadhorse:

The trXus work great in the snow so far and better than other tires I have had in the past. However, I can see where they won’t perform as well on snow or any slippery surface once the factory siping worn off. At that point, I will see about getting them re-siped.

Love the truck man, curious if you stuck with the tapered Dobinson coils or went back to the flexi coils.

Thank you..... Still running the tapered coils up front and Slee heavy progressive’s in the rear.

I rolled my 94 and the body is done but mechanicals are fine. I want to pick up an 80 preferably one that's not operational so I have a foundation to build on with my parts. I prefer 94-earlier. I'm in CA so smog is an issue but I think that a newer model engine in and older cruiser would be no problem.
Are there any major reasons why I would not want to attempt to put all my running gear in a 91-92? These years are the cheapest to pick up.

What kind of front bumper is that? Is it for sale?

I built a roof rack in 2015 and used it a couple times when I took my sons friends wheeling. The wind noise was mind numbing. Not sure if it was due to the square tube I built it from or what but yesterday I threw together a steel wind deflector because we are running down to Rubicon tomorrow morning.

I was skeptical because I didn’t do a good job of contouring it to the roof line as I was in a hurry.

So, today I went into town to shop for the trip and got up to 75mph and there was silence like the rack wasn’t up there. I was very surprised and pleased. Paint comes later.
