When the fan bracket, is R&R. The oil sending unit (sensor) and crank sensor wires, is routed behind the fan bracket.
Most likely: They either routed wrong and possible cut wire or pulled wire housing block (plug) of oil sending unit.
Refresh entire cooling system. Radiator, all of the water hoses + clamps (including coolant reservoir hoses), heater tees, fan clutch. Then do all of the vacuum hoses, PCV valve, fuel vapor hose. CV axle re boot. Serpentine belt idler +...
In my humble opinion:
Cooling system: radiator, all hoses, fan clutch, thermostat, tees, etc
Coil packs and plugs
Valve cover gaskets
Suspension bushings all around and TREs
That’s considering the baseline fluids, leaks, etc are in check...
Thanks for the pics from the FSM. A little info that may help someone else: for the inside trim above the rear hatch window, to remove, the sides pull in toward the center of the window and the top pulls down with the hatch open. Maybe the pic...
If the tan is in good shape without the mounting spots being broken, I'll buy it from you - some previous owner broke my mounting points so it flaps loose.
I had upper hatch painted recently with glass out and all trim removed so this is fresh...
Merlot and I have enjoyed many adventures together over my ~6 years of ownership. Now she’s looking for a new garage

I went ahead and ordered Patch’s AHC+ torsion bars. With the steel bumper and 12K winch, my front pressure is currently at 7.2. The torsion bars are cranked but haven’t been reindexed. If I lower the ride height back to stock, I can probably...
I have the front skid with my ARB bumper. I'm happy with the quality for the price.
Do I enjoy pulling the entire skid to change my oil? No not really.
Pro tip - use a basketball / soccer ball to roll the skid plate into position so you don't...
I just did this job a couple months ago. I STRONGLY suggest having these 2 tools on hand.
MATCO 3/8 Drive 14MM NON-SLIP Impact sockets, BPA14M and BDPA14M...
Drove it off the lift for the first time.
I bought a 2001 (my first Cruiser) about two weeks ago. 134,000 miles. In really nice condition and well maintained.
The timing belt had never been changed, which was odd to me given all the other PM...
AHC is pretty simple, and super reliable. So reliable, almost no dealerships know what they are working on. If you are serious about fixing what you can, read this...
totally endorse supporting local US made

I have the Bump-It Offroad trilogy. They are HEAVY and have taken some huge hits which is obviously a good thing, but the weight makes it hard to get them off and back on when needing to get to something they cover. My suggestion is sort of a...
I looked up DT’s website and I don’t see a headers product specific for an 06. Are they still manufacturing that? Or is that something of a special order?
Voltage with battery light on (original fusible link assembly): 16.8V
Voltage with 1999 LX fusible link assembly (swapped from my truck): 14.4V
Voltage with brand new OEM fusible link assembly and N+ terminal: 13.83V
it wont perform 100%. without a new driver.
did you check the oil in your old compressor to make sure there was no compressor debris in it? If the old compressor was sending metal shrapnel into the oil , its a good idea to change out the entire...
Kinda depends on why you did all that work in the first place. Corrosion? , leaks? Never heard of anyone having to replace both evaporators.
If the dryer was ruined and clogged then you still won't get it to work right , But since it's charged...
The AC Compressor was going bad and would make a winding/ almost grinding noise when turned on but it would still blow cold, so my train of thought was there was a possibility of a leak somewhere in the system that let the oil leak out which...
It's not painted or coated or fixed. It's a clean California car with no underside corrosion. The rust in the hatch has nothing to do with road salt, it is because of leaks as described by @OwnerCS. This is a common and thoroughly discussed...
