I've been getting nailed with cost.
I've an order with Impex, paid for part in late July. What they call MAKE Shipping, Sept 1, paid shipping cost. I see it now show shipped Sept 21. Not yet heard from carrier, which will be billing me for...
It's been a while since I last updated the thread. We decided to take a road trip all the way from the Atlanta area up to Acadia National Park in Maine.
Before we left, there was some maintenance to do.
- Outer and inner tie rods, to resolve...
Nine sets shipped out yesterday.
The last set is still in production.
Haven’t received any more pre-orders for batch #2 yet so I’m holding off on placing another order until demand arises
First batch of 27mm bars are arriving to me today. Will be shipping out tomorrow.
Pre-orders are still open for batch #2
(10x spots still available- I'll place another order as soon as I have 2x pre-orders)
IMO, and it's strictly an opinion, the Toyota interior finishes are far superior to any aftermarket material. They are made to last, aftermarket materials are not. The colors are more stable, the materials are easier to keep clean and the feel...
So uh, not a 100 series, but for $1800 couldn't pass up this non-running 2UZ 2003 4Runner:
But wait a minute... Let's look closer here:
That's right:
Previous owner had it for 8 years, and one morning in winter started it up to warm up...
Oil change, fresh air filter, rotated the tires. Yearly wash and wax, shin etsu grease on the moldings, and light interior detail to get rid of some sand and dog hair.
Went in for a different type of slick top:
Working on some additional sound...
That's pretty much every radiator that I see come out of these vehicles. I'm confident that this explains a lot of the "[insert aftermarket Brand X] radiator runs so much cooler than OEM" posts that I see.
IMO these radiators should be pulled...
Low inflation pressures and overheating (tires) is what kills tires. I would run C-range snow tires all day long at your weights, and enjoy the smoother ride.
I did end up throwing away the WeatherTechs and getting the Lloyds. They just fit better; they lay flat and don't curl up. But in fairness to WeatherTech, I don't need my mats to hold a gallon of mud and water. ;-)
Is there anything better than the Lloyd mats for 100s these days? I am looking to cover all 3 rows for winter
The Proform mats that folks used to recommend are discontinued. No interest in Weathertech with all the poor reviews for this platform...
Update:
Quick follow-up on my LX470 saga. The other driver never came through, and I ended up not filing any claims. My mechanic dug into the transmission, and it turned out to be a valve body issue—a relatively easy swap. It’s now shifting...
I’m doing this right now. After reading the thread it dawned on me that I logged my ride height during AHC tuning. So I’m going to jack up the LCA until the center of the spindle is 535mm from my fender edge. No tension on TB, torque everything...
Here's my experience and I'm going to make it short. I would not buy headlights from these guys. They have absolutely the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life of over 57 years. I've got issues with my lights, several of them...
Just an update, I had the sway bar end links replaced, checked the brake components, and made sure nothing was loose underneath. The rattle persisted. I checked the bushings and yep, they look pretty bad. This will be the next thing I tackle, as...
