Lookit that bling🤩

the plastic cover thingie that goes on top of the engine cleans it up a lot. May have to build an airbox to force some cooler air that way.

looking at all these pics, I notice how I never cleaned the engine bay when it was empty:meh::meh:

Mama and the kids when to bed so I went back and installed the clutch and bleed it. Two more things off the list!

Any way you can get a proper airbox and panel filter to work will be positive. You'll probably have more filter area and you can make a duct to draw from the inner fender or go thru the PS vent into a snorkel if so inclined. I'd suggest the 40/80 style drum air cleaner but it might be too tall to fit in the available space.

Yes, I’ll need some sort of box. This will work for today. Wouldn’t work at all without the MAF hooked up.

All fuel lines and brake lines in. No pics. New hard lines for pressure, return, and vent. Fuel injection soft line and fuel injection hose clamps for the little sections. Really trying to do it all correctly.

List looking really good.

Would you be able to put 35s on there with the body lift or is that why your going with the Slee arms? Aren’t they 4-6t inches of lift?

It has 35”s on it now.

I’m have the equalaviliant of about a 3.5-4” FJ80 suspension lift and had to raise the body an inch or so.

if anything, I’ll have to go a little taller to clear the body with these tires and axle width... or maybe 37”s??! I have the older arms which I think aren’t as steep as well?

I don’t care for the castor plates that much, if you ever want more, you have already cut up your housing and have issues

Are you running 35's here?

Would you mind taking some measurements for me when you can next? bottom of chassis to ground (under the front door), bottom of sill to ground and distance from top of rear tyre to wheel well lip? Mine sits way high and i think its because of the 2" springs so any measurements you can share would be appreciated as a comparison..

Red ‘69 Pig
2-3”? Alcan springs
33x10.5 Maxxis
72 3/4” to top of rain gutter center over back tire

Deo’s 55
80 chassis swap
Not sure what springs
33” KM3s
74 1/4” same spot

my ‘73
2” lift medium OME springs
35” KM3s
76 1/4” same spot

i know it’s not exactly what you asked for, but overall height is what I have right now

Done tonight. Didn’t get here until 8pm.
-rear shocks in
-rear coil spacers in
-rear drive shaft in
-speedo hooked up
-all fluids on truck filled/changed
-all lugnuts on and tight

this list getting shorter and shorter:

—TO DRIVE—-
-wire electric fan
-hook up key hot wire
-wiring plug in
-splice x3 wires
-bleed brakes
-gas tank vent tube
-gas in tank
-seat in

If I hadn’t broken off this lower shock bolt like an idiot, I would have had 45 more minutes to do something else. Oh well. The jackass that designed the whole 80 rear shock setup is on my s***list

Talked to Ben today. The old arms like I have are for a 4” lift. The new ones are for a 6”.

good call though:beer:

-gas tank filler vent ran
-fuel pump wired
-fan wired
-all plugs plugged in
-all brake lines in
-brakes bleed
-LX throttle cable installed

only things on to-drive list:
-splice 3 wires
-gas in tank
-seats installed

damn it takes forever to solder and heat shrink every connection, but damn is it x1000 better than being broken down over a $0.05 plastic squeeze on connector!!!

Tomorrow is the day. Will hopefully report back with good news...

Only pic from tonight is brake fluid on the ground. YOURE WELCOME !!!
