Stable enough to have one hand on wheel and one on phone. Missed the pic of 100.

Well, the Covid made its way through our house and shut things down for a while.

got the inside sanded down, rustoleum base layer, then two more layers of sound deadening paint.

got this thin rubber mats from Lowes and put them down. Ive never driven it with the windows up so I’m not sure how well the sound stuff works really.

Ive put 150+ miles on it with no real issues. The rear output on the Tcase and PS is oozing some, but it drives really really great. Hits 70-80mph pretty fast and is a blast on dirt roads and fields.

Getting rear seal, front driveshaft, hubs, and a few little things done, and then go ride some short trails next few days

Have a thick wall and a regular front and rear drive shaft. Never know when I’ll need it.

little lake action with the boys. They all agree I need more than one working speaker and that this is the only cruiser I’ve ever had that “sounds like a race car”

I’m here to tell you! Driveshafts break!
Having a spare turns a big bummer into only a bummer.

I agree. Too easy to have a spare. A rear if nothing else. Put in the thick walled one if doing something serious for a weekend.

he was able to reuse some of the old shafts metal and they weren’t very expensive.

Not a lot of good pics, but good work was done.

-flushed all fluids again
-front drive shaft clears exhaust and sway bar
-rear Tcase seal replaced
-new Slee tie rod and ends
-corrected toe-in and drives even better now!
-got manual hubs on

TO DO getting much shorter.
If can get bumpers and winch on, have a shake down run this weekend

-clean up wiring
-bumpers
-winch Install
-center console install
-axle rebuild
-sliders
-skid plate for tank
-radio/speakers
-wire elockers
-new headlights?
-wire resistor for O2 sensor
-AC

no sir.

these are overseas 80 series locking hubs bought new from Slee. the hub body is a little different shape (more oval?) than a mini-truck/FJ60 style. I “think” a mini truck hub will go right on, but not 100% sure

Yeh ill need to use early model "stubby" cv's that have a shorter shaft to work with my manual locking hubs from my bj42..

damn your right!!
Yes, need earlier birfs like I have or cut a new snap ring groove and shorter the later models!
I almost had a issue but didn’t!

Had this winch and winch plate in my storage room from three Christmas’s ago. Never made it onto my sons 4runner before he sold it.

Original plan was to mount it below the frame and hide it like JMacks, but with the curve in the 80 frame and my “body lift” I think mounting on top filled that gap better and it sits about 3” father back too

4x2x1/4 tubing. Tried to make it blend into the angle of the snout some.:meh: I went ahead and welded it on. I can’t think of a time when I won’t want a bumper or winch. It all fit together so well.

a synthetic line and low profile fair lead will clean it up some too.

got a lot of the fab work done for the rear, but ran out of time shuffling two kids in sports around.

I sold my to-be shop land in 45min for more than asking price!! Going to spend the profits on a 30x40 shop/basement at new house. Going to have 12’ ceilings so a lift will fit.

here’s the new lake lot. Its north of town, kind of weird shaped, but all I need is a shop and a deck facing west to drink beer on every night. I saw a bald eagle catch a fish when I was there. Its a must buy now.
