The "correct" repair would be to replace the neutral safety switch and the engine wiring harness. The switch-side connector is not available, you will have to buy a switch to get it. the engine harness-side connector might be available. You would have to get the 5 digit number off of one to see if it is serviced. Individual repair splices would have to be obtained for the engine harness-side connector.

A new switch is around 200 bucks.
Ok that’s good to know. I want to fix it right. Thanks for the help!

Installing new axles bearings races and noticed a bearing was seized to the knuckle spindles so needing to get new spindles now so truck is on stands for now

You can splice in any weatherproof connector.

Get a weatherpack connector kit and redo the splice. Cheaper, just as easy, and when the repair is finished you are left with a cool tool and materials to properly do other wiring projects.

You can splice in any weatherproof connector.

Splicing in a set of mating aftermarket connectors is an alternative that is certainly better than what's there now. If you go that way get extra connectors And pins and make some good notes to remind you or a future owner how you did the job. When it comes time to replace the neutral safety switch you will be glad you saved that.

eastwood makes great stuff, they just sent a case of thier 2 part aresol spray paints. its actually catalyzed in the can, so I dont have to set u my hvlp setup and deal with cleaning. Im spraying some aluminum pieces i got from @ZeGerman as we speak. its good stuff, Im comparing the eastwood 2k against steel it.

What does paint have to do with wiring harness repairs?

Will do. I’m going to mark all of the corresponding wires before I pull it out. I’m amazed the transmission works at all with the current condition of this wiring. Thanks again for the help.

New stereo!

Kenwood Double Din, back up camera, Kenwood Amp, Morel Nano component speakers in the doors, which fit easily and sound amazing. Custom fabbed woofer under the passenger seat. Best sounding stereo I’ve ever had in a vehicle. Can hear it clearly over the KM2s. (We have five dogs, hence the dog hair.)

Started swapping out axles for new front and tears and whilst doing so discovered a bearing had seized to the knuckle spindle and tried freezing it. Cutting will not come off. SO NOW I’m trying to locate a set of spindles and nobody has one and nitro makes a set but they don’t have roller bearings in them so looks like I’m ordering from the Saudi’s our “allies” unless someone has a better source. Oh I set up another mud memeber that drove up from Maryland with my old rack and RTT because I have an Alucab exp3 unbound almost went GOFAST but they don’t deliver as their name suggests.

Those Morel Nano's look Sweet! No way to get them with integrated tweeter?

@RFB I bought a spindle from @cruiseroutfit it was a Japanese made Joint Fuji and doesn't look or feel any different than a Toyota spindle. Very happy.

Not in the shallow mount Nano series.

The tweeters can be surface mounted, like mine, so it’s not like you are cutting a two inch hole in the door.

You could mount the tweeters in the black plastic triangle behind the rear view mirrors if you were concerned about removability. (Just replace the plastic triangle when you remove them.)

I’m keeping the truck until my demise, so wasn’t concerned.

Both boys home from uni for spring break, so spent some 'man time' yesterday morning installing the Delta panhard raising bracket. Shipped quickly from Phil :)cheers:). Air tools help to get the old fasteners to release a couple or so decades after Mr T assembled things.

Glad I never went with the panhard 'adjusters', the bracket is a much better solution. Nice and beefy.

cheers,
george.
