Finally got around to upgrading the sound, I was only able to put four speakers in as my ‘91 lacks the front door speakers, but the sound quality is superb, really happy with what I picked out. I ended up going with this smaller 8in sub to keep under or on the side of my sleeping platform, makes great sound for such a small package.

Posted over in the suspension thread, but just swapped front 75mm Slinkys for 50mm Slinkys. Both INT. Not a side by side before and after, its the best i could do. Lots of stink bug going on now (unloaded), so I'll have to remedy that somehow.

Looks proportional and good to me!

.

What does paint have to do with wiring harness repairs?
paint and wire connectors arent all too related Dan , you caught me. My correlation was the MAKER Eastwood company. as they make both I felt compelled to interject.

That rake doesn't look bad to me. There is a similar rake in stock suspension.

Replaced the motor, regulator and window run on the front drivers side window and the door run on the passenger front. Goes up and down like new! Super easy to do and took less than an hour for both sides. Next is the supppppper slow rear windows. They’ll need some TLC.

Replaced axle nuts with TG chromoly lock nuts.

Replaced tie rod and drag link, using Marlin Crawler's Marlink kit.

No more death wobble!

Next up...

Knuckle rebuild, lifter adjustment, and fix the new oil leak.

I want to know what LH tie rod end that is. Does it have the 23mm diameter?

They're 23mm on the tie rod. 21mm on the drag link.

I got a set of links from Marlin on clearance last year, and am trying to get them to work with my Cruiser. The drag link length is correct...if I could use a factory-style longer rod end with the stabilizer connection, but in the 23mm size. Otherwise, I need to lengthen these links somehow.

I wonder why they threaded the drag link in 23mm. Is it for a different application?

Yes, it is for using 80 series tie rods on a mini truck. They use the ones without the stabilizer connection.

Last week I also did new ends on my tie rod and drag link. Mine were all original at 265k miles the TREs finally failed. I have over 20k miles off road too. Not surprised that mini trucks want to use these ends. I decided that while I was doing new OEM ends, I would also upgrade the drag link and tie rod to the Bud Built HD offerings. Since I am planning Rubicon next year, I also paid the extra $25 for them to sleeve the drag link for even more strength.

I am very happy with the product and service from Bud Built. This was my first purchase from them. The OEM ends fit perfectly and the install was super easy...with the right TRE puller ;)

Replaced a leaky radiator that appears to be of 2006 vintage - put in the Koyo version:
