Was good times. Everyone I me were great, interesting people. That tire was like a missle that continued into the wooded median nearly a quarter mile. Two very nice guys stopped to help us get her big ass up off the ground and back on the road.

How did your wheel come off?

How did your wheel come off?
That's the million dollar question! We drove about 50 miles of curvy forest road at an average of say 40mph. We stopped had a snack and pressed on to Truckee where we merged onto 80 west. Sometime later I could feel my ass feeling like jello. Unusual! I pulled off to take a look at things underneath and failed to catch the lug nuts. Why were they loose? I don't know.
Anyway the tire became an impressive projectile and now that I'm home I can whole heartedly laugh about it. What a sight to see you own tire blast past you.

Because he was so wasted the night before:censor:, he probably forgot he loosened his nuts:bang:...

But seriously Steve, glad you guys were ok.

That's crazy! Very fortunate. How the hell do all 6 lugs come loose? Did you have a spare set of lug nuts?

Thanks for helping me off that rock! :)

I took one from the spare mount and three more from other tires. Remember that two studs snapped off so I only needed to come up with 4 nuts. The remainder of our 150 mile ride home was uneventful. However, I stopped twice to check the orientation of my nuts! Thanks for asking.

Well, it's 12:09 here and i should be sound asleep but I'm wide awake because lighting just hit one of my big white pines in my driveway. Damn near knocked us out of bed. Went out to check it out and big chunks blew out of it top to bottom and hit the house. Amazingly, i think it all missed my Cruiser. My tractor is parked underneath it but I'm not going near it to move it just yet, in case some or all of it comes down.

Happened to me once about 25 years ago in an old toyota camper. Thankfully at a much slower speed. Figured if one or 2 lug nuts were not tight enough and with all the extra weight in back, the wheel gradually wobbled the others loose. At least that's what the wrecker guys in Houma Louisiana and I settled on as the cause! Who knows for sure though. Ended up buying a torque wrench and obsessively checking them for the next 10k or so until the trip was over

Recharged my AC - it's been dying slowly for about 2 years and was doing almost nothing. I've been daily driving it lately, and it's been to damn hot (by Colorado standards at least)

I've never heard good things about those self recharge kits, but figured for $35 it's worth a try. Followed the instructions, and in about 10 minutes, I had ice cold AC again! We'll see how long it holds up, but it's been great so far.

@ToyotaDon I had to pick up some parts from my local dealer today so I tried to order the wiring harness. Discontinued. So, slight panic but then said "Call Onur." Called him up, told him I needed the wiring for my front actuator and that it was discontinued. He explained I could use the 95-97 wiring and knew the freaking part number off the top of his head. And recommended I wrap it in heat shield to make sure it doesn't melt. Gave him my CC # and away we go.

Incredible knowledge and customer service from @beno.

Funny thing is that I have gone 24 years without lockers but now I'm jonesin to have my front locker!

Almost finished this. Just need some expanded for the deck and a new cord end for the plasma cutter.

Installed cup holders and phone holder. Highly recommend. Thanks @bhicks for making awesome stuff. Also, installed CDL switch from @Hitit66. Works great, switch itself doesn't light up but I'm not sure if its supposed to.

Looks good. What little flashlight is that? I use the cheapo harbor freight freebie ones but that one seems a little nicer.
