2001 Toyota Land Cruiser with low miles for the year: 196k miles. Silver / Champagne exterior with tan leather interior. Automatic transmission. Loaded with traction control, heated power seats, roof rack, upgraded radio with navigation, backup camera, Bluetooth, CD player.
Stock condition. Tires are in good shape. 2" receiver hitch. 3'rd row seats fold up and out of the way. 2'nd and 3'rd row heater / ac vents. Sunroof. There is some wear and tear on the driver's seat. The time has come to for me to part with Lazarus, due to a recent job promotion, longer commute and inevitable relocation of the family. I currently live in central Missouri, 65401 and will be relocating to Wisconsin in a couple of weeks.

This rig (*edit* for sale in Sacramento) appears to have been on the market since at least March. Selling dealer claims one owner, while Carfax shows two (though corporate owner could have purchased once vehicle was retired from corporate service). Timing belt/water pump replaced in last 3k miles. AutoCheck reports it failed smog in February before passing shortly thereafter. Priced at $18,300.
What am I missing here? Appears to be a good deal at this price. Has anyone put eyes on this truck, or can anyone recommend a shop for PPI? I’d be purchasing from SF Bay Area, so unfortunately can’t go check it out myself unless I’m purchasing same-day.
Saw it on the 406 Motors lot in Kalispell, Mt. I can't get the link to work, but it comes up if you search 406 Motors Kalispell, MT(maybe someone could assist). I checked it out and spoke with the lot owner (they only handle nicer vehicles, and they are a good outfit with a good reputation) Southern rig in WOW shape, guy said it had 1 or maybe 2 owners, not a lick of rust or anything underneath. Drivers seat showed a touch of wear, nowhere near cracking or tearing, but not "new" looking like the rest of the seats. The rest of the int. was minty fresh. Ext. was the same, maybe a couple tiny chips in the paint, but you really had to look hard to even find them. New tires with under 20 miles on them. This thing was clearly owned...

I have been looking for a clean, built 100 for a while. I've just missed a couple lately. So, I figure I would try the opposite tactic. My budget is $18k or less preferably.
This will be mainly be an overland/expedition/camping rig, but it could be a DD for periods of time. The truck doesnt need to be pristine. Honestly, a little trail rash and a few dings adds character, and I would feel guilty beating up a pristine rig. However, i do want a rig in great mechanical condition. A well documented history and build preferably. I live in upstate SC so the closer the better, but for the right rig, I'm willing to consider any distance.
Following are some of the things I would like to see in a build.

I am selling my 1999 LX470 Smokey Topaz Metallic LX470. I also have a 2001 Landcruiser and just do not need both vehicles. This 470 has a clear Carfax showing years of dealer service. Vehicle has spent its life in the south (West Tennessee, Central Arkansas and North Alabama) and shows no signs of rust. Vehicle is stock (minus the running boards and roof rack). Everything on the 470 works as it should and has proven to be a very reliable vehicle. Just drove it on an 1100 mile round trip family vacation.
I know this year and color had some paint fade issues but this one shows no signs of fading on the body. The only paint fade is on the backs of the rearview mirrors and the plastic piece under the grill (photos available). Body...
Reluctantly selling my 2001 Toyota Land Cruiser for sale, with 222,000 miles. Runs great and has been my daily driver for the last year. Recently added an OME lift and has newer Cooper tires. Recent maintenance ($4500 worth) includes:

For sale is my 100 with rear factory diff lock. It has 261,500 miles on it. It runs great but is due for a timing belt service and it has rattles in the suspension along with some exhaust heat shield vibration. I bought it to fix up but it needs a bit more cosmetically than I wish to deal with. I just got an OME suspension kit with torsion bars that I will include for an extra cost. I do have a good clean replacement windshield that is included in the sale at no additional cost. I had it listed on craigslist for $5,400 with the mud price at $5,000. Now on Craigslist for $4900 and Mud price of $4500.
