Looking for an HDJ... the ideal truck would have good running gear. Interior and body not important as this drivetrain would be swapped into an FJ for use in the US. Yeah, it's legal, yeah, it's expensive.;) I would consider importing from Japan assuming the right truck could be located.:cheers:

Looking for an 80 with less than 95,000 miles to replace my 2000 100. I just like the look of the 80 better, even though some of the options on the 2000 are nice.
Might consider a trade for nice clean truck plus some cash from you.

I wanted to wait till Spring to clean up my 80 and relist it. Now that the snow has almost melted I got around to cleaning up the rig and it's finally ready to go.

A daughter of a freind of mine is selling her 1996 FZJ 80 in Lynchburg, Virginia. I've not seen the vehicle, but he tells me it is in great shape. I know the previous owner and he takes emaculate care of his vehicles. Mr friend swears it has lockers and described well to me the switch on the dash for the lockers. It has 212,000 miles. 1997 40th Anniversary Edition Antique Sage Pearl. No lockers.Vehicle is in excellent condition. Only 100,345 mi. Running boards have been removed which I no longer have. Had new head gasket, water pump, thermostat, fan clutch, phh, fuel filter, spark plugs, caps, rotor, wires, 02 sensors, front brake pads all replaced no longer than a two months ago by Larry H Miler Toyota dealership. Also the Throttle body was cleaned, fuel injector system flushed. Coolant flushed. Transmission flushed, front wheel bearings repacked, front right replaced all done at the dealership. All diffs have been serviced as well.You will not find one in better mechanical shape than this. Cosmetically everything is excellent. Swapped headlights with projector...
I saw this for sale on sunday and had to drive it. It's a goldish color with 192,000 miles on it. No lockers. It had a front and rear brush guard. It was in good shape over-all. I noticed 1 small dent on it. I small(almost unnoticalble) spot of rust on the top half of the tailgate. I did not notice any noises from the car at all. It still had good power even with the miles. I'll try and sneak on the lot to take some pictures and post them. He had it for $5,995.

I am finally going to let the old girl go. 94 Green (what's left of the paint) 275,000+miles. NO lockers, some body & front bumper damage, fender flares, running boards are removed. Runs and Drives Good. Needs starter, intake hose. Engine has never been overhauled, I still love this truck but I just bought a LX 470 and I have another car. Two car garage limits the fun. I will let her go for $2,000. I can e-mail some pictures.

This weekend it will be going for a nice long highway run but around town it is comfortable, quiet, powerful.
This rig turns heads, Berni drove it to the detail shop and i followed watching people turn their heads to watch it go by, other drivers pull up along side and give the thumbs up. The old boy sure is an attention grabber.

'95 Locked FZJ80
Stock truck. 147K miles. Dark green w/ tan leather interior. Factory lockers (lockers themselves work, but it need a new ECU module). Michelin Cross Terrain tires have ~80% tread left. Mechanically clean. Looks good and only shows "normal" wear for a 12-year-old truck. I am second owner, but this has been in the family since new. We have all records back to sticker.
Thorough inspection done today (11/27/06) by Toyota Land Cruiser (www.tlc4x4.com in Van Nuys, CA), and gets a good bill of health. Full 8-page inspection report and ~25 pictures available if interested.
Asking $9000, but will entertain reasonable offers.

I hate to let it go! but I can't find the time,money or space to fix. so I'm going to list here and on ebay next.the interior is almost perfect.except for the headliner has a couple spots that need attention.leather tilt wheel, tach dash,A/C sony stereo with sony rear speakers,frame is solid,body is solid except for a couple of spots.inline 6 cyl. 4speed 96,xxx original miles. the bad it had an engine fire.and burnt everything on the driverside under hood. this fj 80 will have to be towed.buying as is where is.contact me at udogtoys@aol.com
