I had an FJ60 with a Chevy small block swap and loved it. Looking to move up to an FJ80/FZJ80 with a V8 swap of some kind. I'm no expert and wanted to get some advice and opinions about this rig in Idaho: Toyota Land Cruiser 1992 FJ80
1) Do you think this price is reasonable?
2) What sort of things should I ask and watch out for in terms of all the mods (I know not all engine swaps are created equal).

Its not the prettiest truck. Bought it with the intentions to make it a weekend wheeler but just got ahead of myself so now it needs to go. When I bought it it had some bad oil leaks, bad u joints, and a bad alternator. I fixed the main oil leak which was the oil pan, replaced some hoses, replaced the alternator, and replaced all 4 u joints. The water pump is leaking a little, I have a new one to install, with new hoses, and new belts as well, this will be done in the next week and will make my pricing less negotiable. Hello, I picked up this 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser. It had the usual oil leaks, those are now fixed. The paint is in good shape for it's age. The downside is the interior - Usual Front Seats, Gear Selector Knob, and Steering Wheel. It is a Florida Truck and the undercarriage looks good without rust. Some surface rust is all. Shows a litte rust near the back spoiler bracket.
I decided to keep my high mileage 80 series and just rebuild the motor when the time comes.
I will sell now for $12,000 or I will finish restoring the interior and it will go on eBay.

Selling my black 97 LX450 w 141k miles. Fantastic engine, body and paint for its age. Beautiful tan leather interior that looks outstanding for its age. Power sunroof and windows all work. 3 out of 4 power locks work. New Blizzaks with less than 5k miles on them. New Kenwood head unit w bluetooth, handsfree calling and backup camera. Replaced transmission with rebuilt unit in 12/15. Looks and runs great. No lockers.

I have a 4x4 96 Toyota 4Runner limited that I'd like to trade for a fj80 or fzj80 land cruiser. I'm trying to build up a offroad rig and am thinking a land cruiser is a better starting point. As for my 4Runner, it has front and rear old man emu suspension, 295/75/16 bfg KO AT tires with a spare. About 70% tread in front and 50% in rear. I am selling my 96 fzj. It was a Texas cruiser most of its life. Everything works great and it is my daily driver. It has new Nitto Terra Grapplers (5), custom roof basket and rear swing out from trail tailor, OME mediums, extended OEM brake lines, complete front axle service with all OEM parts, new brakes and rotors front and back (all OEM), new head unit with blue tooth and microphone, multiple cup holders, grey cloth interior, manual seats.

My buddy bought this car last year with a blown head gasket. He had a Toyota specialty shop in Mira Mesa rebuild the top end with Toyota parts. New valve seals, and full head job done. New Koyo radiator as well. He had the flares removed and patched professionally, then the entire truck re-painted with Toyota Moonglow Pearl (original color). Roof rack holes also patched.

I have recently joined this forum and have enjoyed reading about all the awesome builds and the tons of expert info available here. I have decided to take the plunge on an 80 series.
I'm looking for an LX 450 in gold, silver, or white, maybe green, but no black (sorry). Looking for a babied under 130K miles, 3 owner max garage queen, as stock as possible with all of the PM done according to schedule. Shiny paint 9.5/10, no accidents, and 9.5/10 interior. It has to have diff-locks from the factory (K294). 3rd row seats must be present as well as all of the buttons working properly, side mirrors not rattling and antenna working. Bonus points for OEM Toyota brand windshield and glass. Needs to be 100% rust and drip free.
