Looking for an FJ55 in decent shape. Willing to pay up to $5000 if it's worth it. Original or modified condition ok. Prefer somewhere in UTAH but, willing to travel to surrounding states, again if it's worth it. NO rust-buckets, must have good drive-train.
Have a 74, one owner, all original, typical rust behind wheel wells, corners have some whiskey dents, floors/hinge areas/threshholds/engine bay are rot free.........................asking $1800 OBO Needs a home and restoration.
It spent 28 years in Montana as a ranch vehicle.

i have one that i might sell soon i bought it for parts but disided that i will fix it up drive it and sell it im just finishing a spring over on it and its done really nice and other small things and it has some rust mostly inside the floors are rusting out and a little in the back its a 72 3 speed what do you think its worth and do you think any one would be intrested if you would like pics scife@msn.com is the place to ask

1979 fj55 iron pig for sale. This truck is in very good condiction. Set up and used as a trail truck. All rust has been repaired by cutting out and welding in new metal, not pretty but strong. Everything works, comes with boxes of new and used spares. military trail tires, tire chains, tow hooks,winch platform front and rear. Only needs front windshield. All other glass in good shape, all windows work, new rear window motor, No through rust on frame or body. Runs good, trans and clutch very good, engine strong, uses NO OIL. Tube header, new exhaust, full tail pipe. good gas tank, good fuel and brake lines, rebuilt rear brakes. rebuilt starter. Truck comes with 6.5ft meyers snowplow with frame, pump and all parts. Not on truck. Price...

i am not selling this rig, but i did spot it for sale. i thought i would pass along the info in case someone might be looking for one.
it has quite a bit of rust on the body. the paint is a OD green (looks rolled on), other than that it is okay, but the seats are pretty rough.
it is at a car lot (shady looking place) in van buren, ar. just north of ft smith, ar. he is asking $1000.00, but it has been there a while. the number there is 479-410-3760.

One very nice 74 Pig for sale in Prescott. Straight body and paint with some minor rust behind front wheels and rust cut out on rear corners. Good running sbf 302 using the Marks adapter, it has worked perfect and has been trouble free since install 1 1/2 years ago. Aluminum radiator, Spintech exhaust, Peterson anti-inversion shackles up front and 33`s all-around. Interior is clean. Front seats are buckets with drivers side powered. There is a 1975 FJ55 for sale here in Alamosa. I looked at it awhile back, it has the usual Cruiser rust and it kind of rough. I belive the people are asking $1600 for it and there are some spare parts. I can act as somewhat of a go between initially if anyone is interested. I also have pics of the rig, just PM me and we will go from there.
Had this for sale earlier in the year but havent heard from the gentleman and need
to get rid of the rig. Its located in Yakima Wa. and it is a great truck to start from
the body is pretty much bare with no rust no drivetrain and about 90% of the parts
needed to put it together. $500 takes it all away have alot of nos stuff for it
have a 3 sp tranny and case for it most of the interior minus a headliner u pick it
up in Yakima and its yours

I have a 74' FJ55 for sale in Omaha, Ne. It has a 350 V8/TH350 automatic/Toyota tcase. The body is straight, little rust in the usual places. The interior is redone with new carpet, bucket seats. It is Herculined up to the bottoms of the windows for soundproofing and durability. I built 4"x4" sliders on the sides to replace the rusted out rockers. I have another rust free tailgate and most of the stock interior parts to go with the sale. Id really like to sell it, I already have a 79' FJ40, a 87' FJ60, and a 00' 4Runner. The 55 was my daily driver for a year and a half until the FJ60 came along. I am asking $3000 or best offer. Selling my 74' FJ55. Good body, rust around rear sill and fenders. Minor bubbles on front doors and fenders. Body is straight, no roof rot. New 71' (rust free) tailgate not installed, going with sale. Rotten rockers cut out and replaced with 4"x4" 3/8" wall square stock for rock sliders.
Gen II GM 350 V8, Edelbrock intake and 600cfm carb. Electric fuel pump. 2.5" dual into 40 series Flowmaster with single 3" outlet. Approx. 90K miles on motor. TH350 tranny with Lokar kickdown linkage. B&M Starshifter, not installed, included in sale. Stock T-case, stock axles, drum brakes, stock steering. Stock steel wheels with hubcaps.
Floor pans cut out and replaced, RustBullet (www.rustbullet.com) entire floor from firewall to tailgate...

I went up there 1.5 hours each way to find that this truck was quite a fixer. Here is the history, and if anyone local want to get it he will take $500.
It was a 1969 that was rolled, the guy had a 75 as well and took the 75 body and put it on the good 69 chassis, cut about 1 foot of the end (body/frame) and did a spring over. It has a 1960's Chevy 327 conversion, needs radiator, starter and some other things to run alone. He said the previous owner put lockers in it. The front bumper (on the ground) is home made and beefy... with a 2" hitch. The truck comes with 2 signed sheets of paper from the sherrif. The guy said that all you have to do is get it...
Am past owner of a 76' FJ55. Actively looking for the right 55. 1975 and earlier I don't want deal with the smog issues in sunny Calif!. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thanks
