the fuel cut solenoid is in the carb, no hose, it is an electrical connection. the 2 wire green connection 1 power and 1 ground.
it needs 12v + and you should hear a click.

Okay! I guess I was looking at a decel thingy with one wire. Thanks for letting me know where to look!

Thank you guys for all your help so far!

So, I took the fuel cut solenoid out of the carb and tested it. Clicks open every time I put 12v to it. I also tested the wiring and it was't getting voltage. Found the loose wire, fixed the wiring issue so it did get voltage but it still dies at idle with the choke in. Where's the next place I should look?

I might turn up the idle speed until it will idle with the choke in, then adjust timing and idle speed to get your best idle then do your lean idle drop thing.
