It has been a 2yr ground up restoration to get to this immaculate Kiwi classic.
The original 2F, 4.2l engine has had a full rebuild and the ODO now reads 0000004km's at present.

Does anyone know cruiser_importer who lists LCs on ebay? I am thinking about pulling the trigger on one of his vehicles. I am doing my due diligence on importing and titling but I am more curious if anyone has had any direct experience, either good or bad, with cruiser_importer. I have a reference for whom I am waiting a call back but was hoping someone here has had contact with him. Feel free to pm if you'd rather not post directly.

This vehicle has been completely redone from top to bottom including brand new 33 inch wheels and a brand new custom soft top. The engine, transmission, and transfer case have all been rebuilt. A lot of attention to detail was put into this vehicle. It was finished in a metallic white paint, and has new upholstery inside. 1977 FJ 40 body. 3B and H55F swapped from a Canadian 60 Series. Garrett 2052 Turbo that matches up excellently with the 3B engine. Turbo conversion kit supplied by Jefferson State Machining and Extreme Bends Cruiser parts of Vancouver Canada. Installed by Kent's Diesel Works of Mesa AZ.

This a feeler, I have no idea what I am thinking. I have a well built 80, its got just about everything except being re geared. Its got 205,xxx miles, decent shape, non factory locked. Rear aussie locker. etc etc etc... PM me for any details. Most mods can been seen in the picture, also has 3/8"belly skid for the t-case and oil pan.

Looking for an FJ40, running or not to buy as a project truck for my son and I to work on together. Looking for something 76 or newer. Does not have to be in the Oklahoma area, just needs to have a title.
Rust is okay, does not have to run, just needs to be semi-complete or complete with potential.
Prefer not to buy one completely disassembled but am interested in hearing what is out there.
Limited budget of $3-6K or less. Preferably less. Maybe you don't have one for sale but know of one available? A finder's fee would not be out of the question either.

Generally rust free - a few minor dings and dents here and there
the rear body is not orginial, but someone did a good job with some thick gauge metal.

I have a 1974 Fj40 For Sale. When you have 2, the one you have had the least length of time gets kicked to the curve when college tuition time runs around. This one gets a lot more looks than our Green 1975 one my dad had a decade before I was born so alas this is the one to go. Original Straight Six, Full hard top (rear swing out doors are not on it right now), brand new master and slave clutch cylinders, brakes just got worked through to make sure everything was correct. All work was done at a Toyota Specialized Independent repair shop. I don't trust the dealer to even know what they are looking at(they probably would think it was a Jeep). It is a very cool truck. Wish I could keep it. Asking $14,900 just south of Nashville, Tennessee.
Finally get my 40 close to where I want it and now I am forced to sell it.
