80 Fj40 Ky project
I picked this up for a project and have gotten laid off from work. I have no time or money to complete this. Had a clear title and some parts to go with it. I hate to part with it and if it doesn't sell for close to what I want I will just keep for a rainy day to complete. I have another intake mani, carb, exhaust header for it and motor spins over easily and was told has very low miles on it. I would like to get about $1500obo for it. The truck is located in Lexington Ky and will need to be pickup with a trailer.
75 FJ40 SOA 2FE Orion
**Sold*** As hard as this is for me, I think it is time for me to move on and get this vehicle into someones hands who is willing to appreciate it and use it for what I built it for. There is NO RUST on this vehicle. I bought this Thanksgiving 2008, tore it down to a bare frame. Spent 3 years rebuilding it. Drove and wheeled it from 2011 to the end of 2013. I just got this driving about 1 month ago. The passion is not there for me any more so It's time for it to go to a new home. If you have questions, Ask. Asking Price: $16,000 OBO ($17,500 OBO with 3 year old 18 foot car hauler w/ almost new tires, package deal) Location: Houston, Texas Will consider a clean stock or straight axled 96-00 4runner 3.4L 5 speed 4wd (preferably with...

1978 FJ40 - Red, 3 owners and only 54,000 miles
This is a stock 1978 Toyota FJ 40...No modifications. It has the original 4.2 L 2F engine, and 4 speed manual. It has extremely low mileage at 54,000. It comes with the hard top and doors, as well as a bestop soft bikini top and doorless mirrors. It has original wheels and hubcaps, with brand new 31' BFG TaKo tires (less than 2,000 miles). It also has new corbeau Baja SS seats, as well as a new bestop rear folding seat. The carburetor was rebuilt at 53,000 miles. All normal maintenance has been kept up with. It runs well with lots of power, and four wheel drive works well too. Overall, this is one the best FJ40s we've seen and a highly desirable year. Don't wait, give me a call or email and I can send more pictures and history on this...
This is not totally unrealistic for a relatively nice unmolested '83, especially one marketed by Jonathan Ward. I sold one that was a little nicer (and rarer with vent windows) a few years back for $34K, which was then flipped for over $50K. http://tlc4x4.com/TruckDetail.asp?TruckID=171#sthash.Z1HBwgKY.6dBnSgzl.dpbs

75 FJ40 Rustic Green
I'm putting my FJ40 up for sale The owner of the company I'm moonlighting for called me this morning. He wants to talk to me about running his company here, while he starts another in Atlanta and eventually moves there to retire. (he's already bought a house there I found out) This could be a great opportunity for me and my family down the road. For the foreseeable future though I'd be taking a significant pay decrease and walking away from my primary job. My wife is the one who told me to buy another 40 and she's not sure she wants it to go. She always comments on how much attention she gets when driving around town. But, as you all know these are mostly adult toys to us all and the extra money would be a greater comfort in the bank...
No offense intended if the seller is on MUD, but why spend 140k restoring a cruiser and then put linex everywhere? That's the kind of money you spend to get to factory or buy a TLC Icon. This kinda looks like half a try at each. Only my opinion of course. He wants 60k. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Toyota-Land-Cruiser-BJ40-/281688687107?forcerrptr=true&hash=item4195f44203&item=281688687107
1972 Restored FJ40 - Portland, Oregon
Hello, I'm selling my partially restored FJ and would love it to go to a good home. I've owned it for the last 18 years and will miss it dearly when I see it go. Here's a bit about her.. The Plus: + Full frame-off restoration of what's seen in the photos (color in photos looks "yellow-ish" but actual is beige) + '77 2F 6cyl engine + All new upholstery + New brake drums, shoes and wheel cylinders all around + Rebuilt rear heater core The Minus: - The roof, doors, side body and rear lift gate have not been restored, they have original paint and physical condition and all (minus the roof) are in good condition. - The steering gear is worn. It works and steers but it's sloppy. - The odometer doesn't work. (more info on that if you...
PSA '66 OK
I saw this a few years back and was in the area again, today, so chatted with the owner and he mentioned he wanted to sell for $8k firm. Titled '66 2nd owner, him buying off BIL in NM, who purchased new from Farmington Toyota (even has a dealer inscribed pocket knife) 70k Pretty much original and relatively solid, except the rear sill. Has receipts for an $1,800 engine overhaul, a pre-purchase condition, many years ago. Said it drove last a few years ago, but clutch didn't work. Looks like slave may be shot. Don't know if anyone here would be interested, but passing along in the event it's attractive to the early vintage enthusiasts.

1974 FJ40- Rust Free- 38,052 Miles
Selling my 1974 FJ40. This was a true barn find. Do not know the entire history, but it appears to have made it's way from California. Odometer shows 38,052. Believed to be original on the F engine. Taken down to the frame, and brought back up. Kept as original as possible. Went with Best Top Jeep seats. The entire FJ is Raptor lined in the Freedom Red, and the top is as well. All parts that could be, were powder coated. During the rebuild, I learned that the top is actually a 71 (so I was told due to the needed seals for the windows). Only major conversions to the engine was an upgraded radiator, installed pertronix and ignitor coil, installed gear reduction starter, and weber carb (still has original breather on it), and...
