1972 FJ40 in GA Needs to Be Restored
Ok I bought this back in September 2014 from a farmer in South GA as a barn find, he had used it on his farm for the past 20 years as a toy for he and his kids, no doors or top. Ran when I got it. I had plans to restore it, just do not see the time and do not want it to set. The PO had someone primer the whole thing tan inside and out. Looks like an aftermarket Roll Bar, I have and OEM roll bar to go in it. Like I said before it was running when I parked it early Dec and now it will not crank sounds like the starter, just do not have the time to give it what it needs. So I am going to sell it. This unit could be a good resto project or parts truck. I bought it for $3600 and then bought the roll bar for $125 + $266 for shipping. I am...
1964 FJ40 N/A
For anyone looking for an early 40 to restore this one in Western Colorado might be of interest. http://westslope.craigslist.org/cto/4975685333.html It appears pretty original except for the funky bumpers and resprayed exterior. I spoke with the owner (Harvey) nice gentleman very up front and honest about the condition of the 40. He wasn't familiar with Ih8mud so I offered to post here to increase his exposure. He also seemed very willing to negotiate on price. Some pics he sent me Again I am in no way associated with this 40, just trying to help the old girl find a good home

1977 FJ40 For Sale - Nashville, TN
For Sale -- 1977 Toyota FJ40 Landcruiser Some of the highlights for this FJ40: • Power Steering • New Adjustable Bucket Seats • New Lockable Tuffy Center Console • Wipers work • Heat works • Custom floor mats in front and rear • Original Wheels & Steel hubs • Dune Beige Paint (2012) Since owning this FJ40 I have invested over $15,000 in parts & labor. This rig is not a "Parade" or "Show" FJ -- this is built and meant to be driven. The paint is a 8 out of 10. The last owner chipped some of the paint off in what looks like an attempt to take the doors off (see pics). If you've done any research on these rigs you've seen FJ40's in the price range of $30k - $45K. Those FJ40's are show level rigs which is great if your intention...

Unmolested 76 FJ40 in NJ
SOLD, thanks ... Price drop to $2750. Completely stock, 2F runs (starting fluid), H42 four speed, shifts through all gears and high and low range very nicely. New brake master cylinder but no brakes because I haven't bled them yet. Typical rust in the tub, frame is good except rear corner gussets, easy fix. Wheels in pics not included but truck will have rollers on it. Title in hand and will entertain reasonable offers after you look at the truck in person. No trades, too much stuff as it is. Text or call 215 850 6331 and please leave a message if I don't pick up. I’m in southern NJ, 08096, just outside Philadelphia, PA. Thanks!
http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/cto/4961420749.html Now you might assume that, given that this truck is 3 feet from the Mexican border, that it was taken to Tijuana for a cheap spray job to hide all the rust but this guy actually figured out a way to store his cruiser inside out so that the interior rusted but miraculously the outside is rust free and in "mint" condition. And he only wants 10 grand for it. Oh and no low ballers. What a $^!tbag. At least its not "rare". then it would be 20 grand.
SOLD, SOLD, SOLD Putting my recent acquisition up for sale because I found a better candidate for what I want to do. Mud Silver Star price is $3,000 (no haggle price). I could part it for more if I wanted to take the time. If you don’t have a star, quit being so cheap, support MUD and buy one, then we’ll talk. (https://forum.ih8mud.com/account/upgrades) Details here: CL ad link: http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/cto/4959950669.html Link to a good discussion on the truck’s merits and issues with lots of pics of the good, bad, and ugly. Wide range of opinions on the thread, but I’m still in the camp of “it can be saved”. Just going to require some time, energy, and $ on the body...
SOLD Selling my 40 Yep, title pretty much tells it all. Circumstances (business is very slow) require that I sell my cruiser I've owned since 2005. Really sick and sad to see it go but nevertheless... Specs: 71FJ40, unknown actual mileage. 78 2F engine 78 4-speed and transfer case NO RUST AT ALL 35" BFG Muds. Spare is brand new. 78 2F engine, rebuilt by the same people that do Man-A-Fre rebuilds. It's one of the hopped-up versions. DUI Distributor Man-A-Fre headers Turbo City Throttle-body EFI. Based on a Chevy 4.3 Astro Van EFI system. The ECU is located in the glovebox. O2 sensor installed just downstream of the header. Even has a check engine light. I have all the documentation on this. Electric fuel pump All new fuel hoses and...
Barber Special #3: 1977 FJ40 Southern CA/USA
So I dropped by my barber for my usual cut to find this one sitting out front. Sure enough we talked about it and he's looking to sell. Its pretty complete, has one area that I noticed needed some body work on the bottom left side of the tub next to the rear bumper. Truck has some tube bumpers and a lift. Interior is pretty complete as well. It has some other work done to it, that I am forgetting at the moment. He is looking for 12k OBO, shoot him an offer if you are interested, worst he will say is no. Phone number is 323 483-9916 PS I'll be in the area next this Saturday, so if you guys want more detailed pics, feel free to request and I'll do my best to get them for you guys.
I have no affiliation with this one............but despite the poorly written description and clearly an owner that doesn't know what he/she has I think this one has some potential? At least it doesn't say "mint", "barn find" or "restored". Its big verbiage flaw however is "runs good, could use a tune-up" Perhaps the F in 2F means Ford? Chevy steering, perhaps 1 ton tie rods for the high steer setup? CJ7 can't explain. And it has an awesome "gas cap" mod. http://macon.craigslist.org/cto/4961217641.html Looks good to me
1964 fj40 project ky
1964 fj40 for sale in northern ky. This truck was purchased last year in Oregon. It is very clean with only 2 rust spots at the rear sill. I was amazed how straight it is! When I got it there was no engine, trans or t-case. I began to take everything out of it so I could begin the resto process. I soon lost interest and sold it to a friend who owns it now. He has not touched it since he got it. I removed the steering column, wiring, heater, seats, all switches and knobs. I did this carefully with I tensions of reusing it all. It has a rare ramsey pto winch that goes with it. This truck is very clean. If you have any questions send me a message. I will be happy to answer them or send pics! I am selling for my buddy. $5000 Obo.
